Samsung - 960 EVO 500GB Internal PCI Express 3.0 x4 (NVMe) Solid State Drive: Pro's: Wicked fast, easy to install, large 500GB capacity, Samsung brand is the best in the world for SSD speeds and are exceptionally reliable. Con's: Doesn't make coffee or crispy, delicious bacon in the mornings. Other thoughts: I have this 500GB and two 250GB M.2 Samsung 960 EVO's in current PC, each dedicated to its own game, along with a pair of 500GB Samsung 850 2.5" SSD's set up in RAID 1 for my OS, basic software and apps. 8 second boot time for windows and near instant load time for games... Blazing Fast!

If you're looking for an M.2 Nvme 2280 500GB SSD card... Samsung is the fastest, most reliable, and it comes with a 5 year warranty. While you CAN find a brand that's cheaper... It will also be MUCH slower, less reliable, and offer 2-3 fewer years on the warranty. Read the specs and see for yourself, then save yourself the headache and buy the best brand on the market - Samsung!

This is an amazing and awesome upgrade over my Evo 840 I have in my desktop. It is almost 5 times faster. An Evo 850 was $80 less fo the same size. I'll gladly pay $80 more for the speed it produces. It's hard to find places that have this in stock. Don't pay more than $250 for 500GB Samsung has them in stock. A lot of places are jacking up the prices.

Game loading times are practically non-existent. File copy operations are a breeze. If you have the ability to use NVMe storage, I highly recommend it. As much as ssd is an improvement over traditional hdd, this is an improvement over ssd. Picture shows large copy operation between my two 960 evos, it really shines during large files, copying faster than the theoretical max for sata, because it's pcie.

Purchased this for my new HP Envy laptop. Easy to install, fast, and reliable. Comes with Samsung Magician and Samsung Data Migration (free downloads) to setup and transfer old drive to this drive.

After installing this on my laptop and moving the OS, my boot times went from a minute or two to five or ten seconds. Absolutely worth the investment.

When I first went from a standard hard drive to a SSD i was amazed at how much it speeded up the entire system. This drive doesn't have the same effect but when transferring data from one SSD to another the transfer of 1GB was almost instant. Did have a positive effect on boot time and overall system.

I install this on my laptop. so cool and speedy! Now laptop starts only few seconds.

This M.2 SSD is incredibly fast, went from a Kingston SSD running at 550mbps read and write speed to this was a noticeable difference in boot and total speed .

Great drive, much farther boot time and loads times are much quicker. Data transfer is super fast. Will not increase faster game play, but games will load much quicker.

This hard drive is one of the fastest on the market and has worked very well for me, has reduced my boot time and the time it takes for applications to launch

This is an excellent SSD with some of the best performance you can get. Boot time to the desktop with Windows 10 on my new build is 13 seconds with this drive.

This m.2 drive is comparatively faster than my standard 1TB 2.5 SSD (also by Samsung - 850 EVO). For factor also saves space which else would block or assist in restricting airflow in most PC cases. Recommended buy!

I installed this inside a Dell OptiPlex 7040 replacing a Samsung 2.5" SSD drive. I perceive performance by how fast the computers boots and application(s) / data file(s) to open. I did not see a noticeable difference going from a 256GB Samsung 850 Pro to the 500GB 960 EVO. The performance is fast but not noticeably faster than the 2.5" SSD.

Have this in my gaming rig as primary boot and main game drive and it’s insanely fast even compared to previous regular ssd 2.5 drive

I installed this in a Dell XPS 8920 that I also bought from Bestbuy. It came with a traditional 1tb hd. What toook what seemed like an eternity to boot now boots in seconds once the POST / BIOS Is started I'd install these in every machine I could .at least for my boot drive

This SSD is crazy fast. Like my pc is on like now! I of the fastest SSD m.2 on the market. I think the only one faster is the pro version this card. But you can save you. Money and get this card. D think your going to notice that much of a difference between the two

I bought this to boost the run speed of my computer which came with an HDD. Like others who've reviewed a similar product, you'll definitely notice a significant improvement in the overall speed of your computer.

Don't Know, it would not work in my Dell XPS. Dell wouldn't let it be installed as the C drive
