I've been using samsung ssds for years, this is the brand I prefer over all other brands. The speeds read and write do not disappoint with this drive. Though if you want the best of the best, get the Pro otherwise, this is probably fast enough for 90% of the people out there.

This is a great drive and it is super fast. The first drive we got was basically dead on arrival but after Best Buy replaced it and even did a complete reinstall the drive is great. No one can predict a drive will be dead on arrival and it happens so can't hold it against it.

Recommended by salesman at BestBuy. Installation was a snap. It does not come with 2mm screw needed to mount it (neither did motherboard). Found screw at ACE hardware for $.30 instead of $6 on line. Software makes installation a breeze. Unbelievable fast access and bootup

Be aware that you may need a screw to install it. Neither the product itself nor my motherboard had a screw to hold the drive in place. Fortunately after much searching I was able to find one in one of my other devices. If you're not so lucky, you should be able to find the size you need by searching online. Once the drive was installed, getting my computer to boot to it was a pain as well, but I think that had more to do with my system's BIOS than anything. Once I got all that out of the way, my computer boot time became noticeably faster, which I love!

Like most, the alienware aurora comes with 16gb of intel optame memory. While it does do "a little something", it is not a dedicated SSD with 2300+ sustained read and write speeds. This is the beginning of the end for the SATA hdd/ssd interface bottle neck.

I recently bought a Dell computer with an empty M2 slot, and added this SSD. I could not be happier. Had to hunt for an M2x2.5 screw, but it's worth it. Went with the 500 vs 250 so I could put my OS and main data volumes on it with room to spare.

I added this to my new laptop and was very pleased with how quick this drive is. I have not had any issues with it since installation which was about a month ago. I would definitely buy this item again if I have the need for another ssd.

3,450MB/s sequential read 2,452MB/s sequential write. If speed is important to you then a pcie x4 nVME storage drive needs to be in your life. Using the 500GB model as my boot drive on my most recent PC build and have been impressed.

Make sure you have at least the 270 chipset or you may not get all the speed this has to offer. I cloned my Samsung ssd to this and now my pc starts up in 7 seconds. It’s awesome. Use Samsung migration to do that and you will love it.

i put videos and games that are current to me on this drive and they open and operate so much faster when playing game or rendering a video the files take less time to download and also to upload from this drive compared to my ssds.

This was an upgrade to my laptop when I discovered it had an M.2 slot. I ended up pulling out the original mechanical hard drive and my laptop instantly came to life. It does everything much quicker.

Unfortunately I installed this on an older motherboard, so I'm not getting the full potential of this SSD. The M.2 channel is controlled by the motherboard south bridge but still a noticeable difference between a form factor SSD.

If you're looking for the best brand for NVME/SSD, it's gotta be Samsung. WD Black is close, but if you're looking for the best, there's no question. This worked great for me in a Dell XPS laptop.

149.99 for a 500gb m.2 Great deal and this is crazy fast. I have another slot on my motherboard for a second one and I might bite the bullet to fill it. Don't hesitate if your looking. Just buy it. You won't be disappointed.

The SSD is very fast and responsive. I have had no noticeable throttling issues; however, my case/build is adequately cooled including the SSD. This SSD nearly performs at the speeds of the 970 Pro but for significantly less cost.

I got this to replace the SSD in my Dell G17 laptop, and this delivers amazing performance. Samsung EVO drives can be a bit pricy compared to other brands, but they definitely deliver performance that is well worth the price.

Received the SSD, took to the local shop where it was ghosted to replace a 128GB SSD and installed. Up and running in a few hours and it appears to be working as expected.
