Customers are saying

Customers recognize the 970 EVO Plus 1TB Internal SSD PCIe Gen 3 x4 NVMe as a high-performance drive that's easy to install and use. Positive feedback frequently highlights its speed, ample storage capacity, and reasonable price. While some users noted that the drive may generate a bit more heat without a heatsink, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive. The small size is also mentioned, with some seeing it as an advantage.

For the price, this NVMe drive has speeds that match the Pro series. Installing it is easy, but either clean install Windows or get a reputable Nvme enclosure (my enclosure wasn't able to handle the cloning.) So, I just installed this into the laptop and then installed Windows from a USB. These NVMe drives get super hot, so not sure if enclosures are a good idea anyway. Other than the hiccup with the cloning. This drive is performing great in my Razer blade 15 base.

I purchased this based on positive reviews in regards to price and performance. Not as fast as a 970 Pro, but that would be overkill for my purposes as I am not a heavy gamer. Great for photo and video editing, web surfing, YouTubing, etc. The Samsung Data Migration software made transferring Win10 from my old Samsung 860 SATA SSD to this MVMe drive quickly and easily! Samsung has great SSD drives and great utility software!

System Alienware A51M (laptop) For everyone looking to upgrade or change to a good dependable drive, this is a great option with great speeds for everyday use and gaming. For those that have seen the review where the hard drive is not recognized, stay calm that just means that your system was pre-set with Raid and yes an option is to enable in bios and then have to re-install the OS but... you can do it through the command line without having to re-install OS. open CMD as admin type: bcdeit/set safeboot hit enter if successful, restart and then when bios pop up select achi and apply then when system re-starts in safe mode open cmd again and type: bcdedit/deletevalue safeboot hit enter and re-start and you should be good to go worked on my system and should be the same for any dell or Win10 system. Second and third image show that samsung magician is recognizing the drive as an NVME

recently made a thoughtful purchase to enhance my new PC build – a cutting-edge NVMe M.2 drive. The installation process was remarkably straightforward, provided you were well-acquainted with your motherboard's layout and knew precisely where to place it. This drive proved to be an excellent choice, offering an array of storage options that cater to various needs. Personally, I opted for the 1 TB variant, which I believe strikes an ideal balance between storage capacity and speed for gaming enthusiasts who often have 8 or more large games simultaneously installed. The transition to NVMe M.2 drives from conventional SATA options has been a game-changer for me. Not only do they offer blazing fast speeds, but the ease of installation is a major plus. You no longer need to contend with cumbersome data and power cables; instead, you simply slide the M.2 drive into its designated slot on the motherboard. This not only simplifies the setup process but also ensures a cleaner and more efficient cable management system within your PC. Overall, my decision to opt for this NVMe M.2 drive has significantly enhanced the performance and storage capacity of my new PC build. It's a testament to the ever-evolving technology in the realm of computing, and I would highly recommend considering such drives for anyone looking to upgrade their system and streamline their gaming experience.

I bought this ssd for an asus tuf 2022, it originally had a 512 gig ssd which was much less than what I needed as a cs student with a gaming hobby. So after a bit of research I found this hard drive workes with my computer. I installed it with no issues. Now I have 1.5 tb space. Works great and arrived the next day. Thanks Best Buy.

Was building a new computer and have been using standard SSD drives forever. Didn’t pay attention to the details of the motherboard I purchase and during the build found it had M2 slots. Didn’t know what it was about so investigated and decided I would try this Samsung drive. The speed is astronomical and couldn’t be happier with my unexpected results. I have an older core i7 computer also and added a pcie card that allows the use of an nvme ssd and bought a 2nd one for this machine.

First time using a V-NAND SSD. Windows installation picked up on it right away so, no issues concerning drivers. Plugged directly into the mainboard, these drives fly. Now having the experience with setup, this is the way to go. Hope the industry finds a better way to hold these in place - don't like the small screw.

Solid PCIE SSD. Comes with a cooling pad. No trouble installing. Makes for an excellent game-drive in 2021. Actual in-usage storage space is 931 Gigabytes. Reason why is below. It is worth mentioning however that the drive is advertised as "1TB" in that it has 10^12 bytes of writable data on it. This is because the advertiser uses the international system of units to define what a "Terabyte" is. Your computer does not however speak in powers of 10, it speaks in powers of 2. Meaning that a "Terabyte" to a computer is not 10^12 bytes, but it is rather 1,099,511,628,000 bytes.

Using it for my latest-gen HP Omen gaming laptop that came with only "1 TB" of total ssd storage. This one comes with 932 GB which is the industry standard but whatever. Easy to install, fast and comes with access to the Samsung Genie something app to help monitor and maintain the ssd itself. Not required to have but it's there. Get one for yourself if you only need a 1 TB upgrade for now...and plus it's a Samsung.

I installed this in a Dell Inspiron 15 3583, and its very fast. From power on, it takes about 3 seconds to get the Dell logo on screen, and then another 2 seconds to get to the Windows 10 lock screen. According to Samsung's "Magician" version 6.0.0, the benchmarked read speed was 3470 MB/s, and the write speed was 3285 MB/s. However, I was disappointed by the apparent lack of support for this product in Samsung's curernt software, at least on my new Dell laptop. Their version 3.2 drivers wouldn't install on my machine, and most of the features in Samsung's magician software didn't work, with an explanation that the selected SSD didn't support that feature. And for some reason, the Samsung Magician 6.0.0 identifies the SSD as just a "Samsung SSD 970", although Windows 10 knows it's a "Samsung SSD 970 EVO Plus 1TB" On balance, if I knew then what I know now, I would have bought a somewhat slower but cheaper SSD.

I got this 1TB drive to serve primarily as my boot drive and pictures and as overflow for games from my 2TB TForce SSD. I popped it in and used Macrium Reflect to copy Windows 11 over to it so I wouldn’t have to download a million updates and redo all my settings and my pictures, then formatted my old drive to be mass storage. This drive is much more responsive than my old drive, mostly from the better cache, but it’s also quicker in read/write operations as well. Windows loads noticeably faster (for me anyway) but your mileage may very. I’ve had it for about a month and have 0 complaints. Samsung drives are the most popular for a reason, and being able to get this for $109 was a great deal in my mind. Now, it is “just” a Gen 3 SSD, but there isn’t really anything out there right now that will take advantage of Gen 4 speeds so I saw 0 reason to pay $40 more for a 980 Pro. Can’t go wrong.

Bought this as a backup M.2 drive. Loves these with being small and not needing external power and SATA cables. Install easily and offer great speeds with loads of storage. Much faster then my old SATA SSD it seems. Although this is only NVMe gen 3.0 it still will work with a gen 4.0 board
