Solid SSD

If you are still running Harddrives in your machine this will be a huge upgrade for you in speed and loading times. Definitley recommend for the price. Wish i would have gotten the 2tb model though.

Heard stories about Samsung doing controller changes, but I'm not sure on which models. My use isn't super heavy, so I can't tell if this drive is affected.

Reliable storage option

And certainly cannot go wrong with Samsung's silicon. They have an excellent track record. While this thing won't be winning any speed contest (gen3x4, up to 3k MBps writes), it is a reliable way to add storage (600 TBW, 5yr warranty). And I enjoy their "heat spreader" label. Gotta cool the beast.

Great value, decent speeds

First 50gb will write large files at around 2500 mbs, then will slow to 500 mbs untill the cache can unload. But for the price it's a good value.

I was coming off a SATA SSD and this wasn't that much faster but it worked really really well with the abuse I put it through. And the price is justifed from my point of view
