Good drive for gaming/regular usage

It does not have DRAM so for prolonged file transfers, it will slow down eventually. But if you're not doing anything that will stress the drive that way, which is most workloads, it'll work great as a boot drive.

Good NVME but I would go 980 Pro instead

There are tons of gen 3 options where you can get more space for this amount of money or just go SATA3 2.5" if you don't care about speed. Also additionally, I noticed these are less stable if you use it in an external enclosure. Speeds are not as consistent over longer periods of time when compared to their 970 (non-plus) EVO line or their PRO line.
