    Using this M.2 as my boot device in a 4 year old Dell XPS Desktop made all the difference in its performance. It was like a new computer. It gave me the performance I wanted with the dependability that I needed. I will now use an externally connected M.2 for some of my back-up needs. Excellent device!

    Was eyeing the cheaper of the two — this or the 970 Evo Plus. Ended up getting this one on sale for my in-law’s build. If you have a compatible PCIe4 processor and motherboard, get the 980 PRO if you have a few bucks to spend. Otherwise, for day to day use, this drive works like it should — reliable.
