I'm running it on Gen 3 Asus ROG Maximus X Code. And benchmarks with over half used capacity show 3395mb/2728mb sequential and 326171/27381 IOPS on Random which is doing a perfect job for games with world streaming like Star Citizen. Game loads are in seconds not minutes and that makes for a happy gamer. The 980 also boasts solid longevity having good thermals for me it's at steady 40c and a write life of 600 TBW

Its reading and writing rate were extremely fast but it was last only 15 days. I used it as primary disk of my busy work desktop and very heavy usage. Unfortunately can’t return to Bestbuy, need to file RMA at Samsung site and don’t know when get a replacement. In the mean time, need to look for a different disk and re-installed windows and softwares.

Our warranty process is efficient and easy:
1. Once you contact and inform us that you need to process an RMA, we will email you an RMA form.
a. This form will ask for your contact info, reason for repair, and a copy/photo of your receipt/bill of sale (if possible).
b. Please email us back the completed form and proof of purchase.
2. Once we receive your completed RMA form, we will email you your RMA Ticket Number.
a. If you are within the U.S., you will also be emailed a UPS label to send us your SSD for assessment.
3. You should receive your repaired or replacement drive within 5-7 business days from the date you shipped us back your original drive.

Not a deal breaker for me but they need to label the page correctly. I wanted a drive just for games not a main drive and this one fits the bill. The drive is very fast and runs cooler than my 970 EVO Plus that has a heat sync attached that came with the motherboard. This drive is well worth the price for the performance it delivers. Plug and play setup was easy. Installed it booted the computer went to the disk management in windows and set the drive up and installed games Perfect!
