I needed a storage upgrade for my new MSI laptop. This nvme drive installed just like any other. I moved the cushioning pads from the old drive to this new. After I booted, I performed a benchmark test. This Samsung drive showed 2.5x better performance than a regular drive! I’m sold on Samsung drives!

Perfect upgrade for Dell Optiplex desktops from 2015-2021 and Dell Latitude Laptops from 2016-2021 using Gen 3 nvme. I upgraded from original OEM samsung 512Gb nvme PCIe3.0 to this 980 1TB SSD nvme PCIe3.0 and outperformed in Windows 11 Pro.

Lacks DRAM cache but still a great drive.

I moved all of my Windows store games onto this in less than 5 mins. Games load quickly and stays relatively cool. So if you're looking to pick up a great drive that's not too expensive then this drive is for you. If you're looking for a drive with dram cache you'll have to look elsewhere as this lacks it but those buying this should already know that beforehand.
