Transfer went well and the performance is quite good

Great drive, great value when it's on sale. I've used the 990 Pro specifically as boot drives for the OS on my last two builds. They've run great so far! Just keep track of their health and firmware with Samsung Magician.

The best in SSDs does not need my approval! I have been using Samsung SSDs since they first became available. My new OMEN Max Laptop had a Samsung drive from the factory, and I added a 4TB in the second M2 slot. I have the 2TB in an external heat sink case.

An amazing product. I currently have a gen 3 motherboard and even though this product is meant for gen 4s the backwards compatibility is nice. Most nvme drivers (when I was looking) doesn't do this. Nice for people who want an upgrade one by one but still use it.

A bit pricey on first approach, but it's justified with the amount of space it holds. Bonus points for the fast transfer speeds. It's worth its price and reliability.

Honestly earsier to install than expected as this was my first M.2 install and found out about moving the slots around for additional storage and already set for the softwear updateds.

I've run samsung SSDs in every righ i've had for the last 10+ years. I've only had an early unit die on me. Every other one has been totally solid. The 990 pro so far is the fastest I've tried.

Bought as a replacmeent when my old Corsair NVMe drive died. So far it has been working really well. Good speeds and no real issues.

This Nvme is very fast, but make sure to run the new samsung software because the older softrware can cause you to lose how many times you can rewrite to the nvme.
