It's always nice going with the Samsung pro lineup because the read/write speed are unmatched and very reliable with large downloads, editing, etc hasn't let me down yet

Very high quality and fast NVME. I’ve have used Samsung ssds in my last three pc builds. I have had the Samsung Evo 850’s, 980 pros, and now the 990 pro. I have never been disappointed with the speed and dependability of these SSD’s. Plus, I got it at a great price. My PC boots, lightning fast, and my games and apps run great. I have a 1tb and a 2tb and I can’t recommend the 990 enough.

Super easy to install and allows for very quick read and writes, there is faster drives now but the sales make these products a great buy

I dedicate this ssd for games only. It has plenty of space and great speed for my games.

I've gotten to where I'll only buy the samsung SSDs, especially when you're looking to upgrade your existing SSD size and not just another drive. The Samsung software for cloning is super simple to use and has never failed me. I'll always buy Samsung when given the choice.

I recently purchased the Samsung 990 Pro and I have to say, I'm impressed! I use it for things like gaming and downloading many things, it has never once slowed down or caused any issues. The storage capacity was just what I was looking for.

Just here to describe the elation i felt after checking the price point for the 990 pro a month later... (so, late January 2026, and see that it's now selling for $300!) I had a hunch that storage was about follow the price trend that Ram was undergoing, and jumped on it when I found it here for $220. The 990 Pro has onboard DRAM (which also made me happy that the cheaper 990 "Plus" had been sold out at the time I bought this, as the Plus doesn't have onboard DRAM). The Samsung Magician software is super intuitive and easy to use to clone your preexisting, probably smaller, SSD. I've used this software before and knew I'd get through it without much issue. And my laptop has the same bus speed for both SSDs so it was fine to make the new drive the booting drive. Almost gave my self a heart attack installing it when i had to manipulate some tiny wires in case in order to allow the SSD to seat properly after inserting it, and the wires disconnected from a component (wifi card?) and i thought i ripped the traces off. Turns out there are very tiny U.FL/IPEX connectors that are designed to snap together, and managed to reconnect them to the board of the component. (They are sooo small.) (Make sure your laptop uses this version, without the bulky heat-sinks.) [Use an AI tool to find the correct method to reformat the old drive and turn it into a single storage drive, as you'll probably want to wipe the multiple partitions it had from the original O/S install.]

The Samsung 990 Pro 2TB delivers excellent performance, with fast read and write speeds that stay consistent under heavy use. I’m using it with a Mac Studio M4 Max through the Satechi Dock for Mac mini (with NVMe enclosure), and it works flawlessly with no thermal or stability issues. Overall, a super reliable and high-speed SSD for anyone who needs top performance.

Absolutely what I needed, easy install, found nothing wrong at all.

my computer crapped out on me one mourning so i took it in to BB to get it checked out. i turned in my pc and told them all the symptoms. they told me they would do a full diagnostic and tune up and let me know what they found. a few days later they gave me a call and told me i had a corrupted drive. we discussed replacements and then had them install the new one. came back, picked up my pc and now everything works as good as new. everyone there was calm and friendly and very willing to help me out. i will be returning if anything ever breaks again.

Very fast storage and easy to install. Performance has been excellent with quick boot times and smooth operation across applications. I bought it before prices increased due to higher demand, so the value at the time was outstanding. Solid investment and highly recommended if you can find it at a reasonable price.

So, I am a, relatively speaking, new to the game PC builder as I have my first custom PC finished entirely and operational for roughly a month or so as of the date of this review, however. It worked out that it was on sale for the 2TB SDD model only and it was actually less than it was for Amazon Prime pricing, also. Plus $25 off in earned ‘certs’? Win (x3). Reading and writing speeds are second to none. Even with the loss of 2TB SSD, entirely worth it in my tight for time (and even moreso money) situation. Great buy and got things to work out in my favor for once! Even the small victories in the current economy are celebrated in my life, for sure.

Used for my camera tower! Works great haven’t had an issue. Very easy to install as well highly recommend and a good price point
