At the sale price this is an easy choice over the 980 Pro. It performs well and I haven’t had any thermal issues either (I’m just using a super thin heatsink that came with my laptop). You won’t really notice a difference from a 980 Pro unless you work with small files. Windows feels very snappy with this drive and a bit faster at everyday tasks compared to my 980 Pro and SK Hynix P41 SSDs. Be sure yours has the latest firmware and you’ll be good.

I play a lot of games and save a lot of things and it hasn’t forgotten a single thing. Absolute elephant this thing is. I’d put one in my brain if I could. Got an extra one laying around once Elon gives me a call.
