Use to have it installed on an old HDD and it would take 15 minutes to boot it. It was ridiculous

Using consumer hardware in a homelab is dicey. But I'm hoping they may play nice enough to get decent ZFS performance (really need an ssd with power loss protection via super capacitor. Otherwise BTRFS is your friend. But if your information isnt mission critical, your using a COW or an other resilient file system (cough BTRFS). I have yet to test them. But having recieved a batch manufacturered october 2023 - shouldn't have any firmware issues. Any manufacturer date after September 2023 2TB drives may use the same improved flash used in the 4TB.

Fast and reliable ssd

Just plain fast

Gen 4 Samsung 990 Pro. M.2 SSD

Installing games and work on them

Using this 2TB for work and will be buying another 2TB for gaming. Wish I bought these back in october when prices were lower. Reliable and familiar, I had a 970 PRO for about 3 years and still doing good on my old system.
