Great upgrade

I hate it purchased a western digital hard drive at first and it worked but the Samsung made it easier to get information from a dead hard drive and the price wasn’t bad for the significant size either.

I have been using Samsung SSDs since they first became available. My new OMEN Max Laptop had a Samsung drive from the factory, and I added a 4TB in the second M2 slot. I have the 2TB in an external heat sink case.

If you are on windows, be 100% sure to get rid of the “queencreek” services. Some kind of data mining software for intel. Was dropping my random write IOPs to 295,xxx on both my 990 and 980 drives. With it gone they are both back into the 8xx,xxx range.

Extremely fast and reliable

I installed it in a Thunderbolt 5 case to store my video and photography projects. It was easy to install and setup I did some speed tests and this thing is insanely fast. No problems so far but I'll update my review if I encounter any.

Insane speeds!

It's absolutely insane how fast they are. They were easy to install and set up. The Samsung Magician app cloned my SSD with no problems. Strongly recommend if you want the fastest SSD out there!
