Will work for the Galaxy S8 +. It will charge with a case on the phone, but the only thing is you have to line it up just right or you will get the blue flashing light and wireless charging paused issue. You just can't lay the phone on the pad any which way. Much better than the stand up charger though.

Charging isn't nearly as fast as with a cable. I just had 2 nights in a row where my phone was dead. The charger is showing it's working and the phone is saying it's charging and when I wake up, the phone is dead. I need to do some troubleshooting. For the 20 days prior to that, it's been great for overnight charging.

I was so anxious to get a wireless charger so I don't have to keep plugging my phone in. I have heard that those plugs in the phone can break from constantly plugging in and out. When I first used the charger, I had a lot of trouble getting the charge to start. Once it started, I constantly got a signal saying that the "charge has been interrupted". I had to keep moving the phone around until I get the charge back. This went on all day, and I felt like I had to keep an eye on it rather than to be able to walk away from it, so I took it back to the store. I have not regretted taking it back. Maybe it's my phone, I have a Galaxy S6. I thought it was because I have a cover on my phone, but the directions say the charge will go right through the cover. I was not willing to remove the cover to try it. That would be too much trouble.

Everything performs great with charger except for human error. I use this with a Samsung Galaxy S9+. If I do not check to verify the phone is layed in the proper spot for charging, the phone will not charge. I also have a cat who likes to climb around the night stand and bump the phone.
