Got this item on clearance so I wonder if the newer black model works better.

Once I didn't have it sitting on the charger right and it didn't charge (user error), but it's been pretty reliable other than that. I wouldn't pay $50, though, as I feel that's just too much $$

Previous Samsung user (Galaxy 4) and I wanted to stay within the same brand. Having a great discussion with salesman (Steve) in the Verizon kiosk, we choose the Galaxy 8. Much more technologically advanced so I am getting used to it, but it is excellent product. I would highly recommended it.

Great Phone charger

I know it seems lazy not to just plug the phone into the wall, but it was an aggravation and this works great-just lay the phone on it and Voila! It also charges much faster and I like that it lays flat so I don't knock it over.

Awesome... when it works

However, has a hard time picking up when a case is on the phone and there are times I have to take my case off to get it to work.
