Very smart move. Now you provide your own choice of USB cable for the extra port, while still getting a good cable and an adapter for older USB connections. Very nice.

It's got two usb slots in case your modern sedan or SUV doesn't have enough scattered around. There's no indicator light that comes on that I noticed, so make sure you see a lighting bolt or look at your devices charging status on the front or side (galaxy users who have edge option turned on). USB end fits snug and won't fall out. Safe travels

2nd time purchasing

I upgraded my phone and need the type-c charging cable and the only way to get it was to buy the item again. Honestly, I've replaced the cable that came with the original charger purchased about 6 months ago and I'm still using the old charger.
