      Hi ShalishT,

      Thank you for taking a moment to review the HW-C445 Soundbar.

      If your soundbar is connected to your TV with an optical cable, you can control the volume and mute the soundbar using your Samsung TV's remote.

      1) Use the TV remote to navigate to Settings, select Sound, and then select Sound Output on your Samsung TV.
      2) Select your Samsung soundbar, and then select Close. Now you can use your TV remote to adjust volume and mute the soundbar. The soundbar should also turn on and off with the TV.

      Other manufacturers’ remotes may have to be enabled on your soundbar. First, turn Off the Soundbar. Once powered off, push up and hold the WOOFER button for 5 seconds. Each time you push the WOOFER button up and hold it for 5 seconds, the mode switches in the following order: “OFF-TV REMOTE” (Default mode), “SAMSUNG-TV REMOTE”, “ALL-TV REMOTE”. Please also make sure your speaker settings on the TV are set to External Speaker.

      It is possible that your unit needed minor troubleshooting, a firmware update, or adjustments in settings. Like selecting the desired sound effect by choosing SURROUND SOUND – GAME – ADAPTIVE – DTS VIRTUAL:X – BASS BOOST – STANDARD.

      If you would like louder (or softer) bass from your subwoofer, you can adjust the level by rocking the WOOFER button on the soundbar remote, and then adjusting the level from -6 to +6. To set the subwoofer volume level to 0, press the button in.

      You can adjust the Treble and Bass by pressing the TONE CONTROL button then use the UP/DOWN buttons to change the levels between -6 to +6.

      For precise audio adjustments, you can use the 7-band frequency equalizer to optimize the sound for your room acoustics by pressing and holding the SOUND CONTROL button for about 5 seconds, make sure you also set the SOUND MODE to STANDARD.

    Im very confused about all the great reviews. I have a small living room and i have to turn all the way up for the sound. So very low sound quality. But only paying $99, i guess you get what you pay for.

      There are two additional adjustments that can be made for bass and subwoofer:

    Wrong condition, bad customer service

    (not a samsung complaint, but a best buy complaint) Ordered it in Excellent condition but got it in bad condition and missing a lot of cables. Returned it but the soundbar got lost in shipping somehow and they blamed me denying my return and refund. Even explained it to an agent on the phone who started the refund back up just for it to be turned down a second time. Unless you have literally no other places to buy something from, don't buy from best buy.

    Bought this as a birthday gift for my dad. I had his TV information and they looked it up at the store and said it would work with his tv. He was happy with the gift but when he got it home, he could not get it to work with his tv. He had to take it back and pay more for one that will work with his tv.

      If your soundbar and Samsung TV are connected by an optical cable, Auto Power Link will turn your soundbar on automatically when you turn on the TV. If you have the soundbar connected with an HDMI cable to the Samsung TV, Anynet+ will turn the soundbar on automatically. No need to reach for the soundbar remote every time you want to watch TV!

      To use Auto Power Link, follow the steps below:

      1) Connect your soundbar to your TV with an optical cable.
      2) Set the soundbar to D.IN mode by pressing Source on the remote or soundbar.
      3) Press and hold the left direction on the direction pad on the remote for more than 5 seconds or until Auto Power Link appears on the soundbar display to activate or deactivate Auto Power Link.

      Thank you for taking a few moments to review the Samsung HW-C445 Soundbar.

      When powered on for the first time, the subwoofer should automatically connect to the soundbar wirelessly. If the auto-connection process fails, you can try manually connecting the sub to the soundbar.

      Before performing the manual connection procedure, check whether the power cables for the Soundbar and subwoofer are connected properly and make sure that the Soundbar is turned off.

      Press and hold ID SET on the rear of the subwoofer for at least 5 seconds. The red indicator on the rear of the subwoofer turns off and the blue indicator blinks. Press and hold the Up button on the remote control for at least 5 seconds. The ID SET message appears on the display of the Soundbar for a moment, and then it disappears. The Soundbar will automatically power on when ID SET is complete. The LINK LED indicator stops blinking and glows a solid blue when a connection is established between the Soundbar and the Wireless Subwoofer.

    Ok. I bought a Samsung 75 in tv , that came with this soundboard free, but the soundboard can not be connected this tv , because the tv don’t have optical connection and the soundboard don’t have hdmi connection.I contacted Samsung for an exchange, the do nothing, what I’m I suppose to do.I have Tv and soundboard that don’t connect to each other. What a combo. About the soundboard, don’t know what to do.

      You can connect your Soundbar to your Samsung TV wirelessly via Bluetooth, please follow these steps:

      1) Press the PAIR button on the remote to enter BT PAIRING mode
      a. or press the SOURCE button on the top panel and then select BT. “BT” changes to “BT PAIRING” in a few seconds automatically or changes to “BT READY” if there is a connect record.
      b. When BT READY appears, press and hold the SOURCE button on the top panel of the Soundbar for more than 5 seconds to display BT PAIRING.

      2) Select Bluetooth mode on the TV

      3) Select “[AV] Samsung Soundbar” from the list on the TV’s screen. An available Soundbar is indicated with “Need Pairing” or “Paired” on the TV’s Bluetooth device list. To connect the TV to the Soundbar, select the message, and then establish a connection. - When the TV is connected, [TV Name] → “BT” appears on the Soundbar’s front display.

      4) You can now hear TV sound from the Soundbar.

      If the device fails to connect
      - If a previously connected Soundbar listing (e.g. “[AV] Samsung Soundbar”) appears in the list, delete it.
      - Then repeat steps 1 through 3

    Hear lots of static

    Highly disappointed. Purchased the speaker and thought I just received one that had a defect because the actual sound bar was great but the individual box speaker sounded like complete static. Took it to the store, returned the entire sound system and got a second one and it was the same exact thing. The speaker is such poor quality. Will be returning for sure.

    I purchased this speaker back in December 2024. Based on the previous reviews, I should've not purchased this item. The surround sound is horrible. This was a waste of money.

      The subwoofer is responsible for low frequency sounds, like the rumbles of an explosion in an action movie or the bass guitar and drum in your favorite music. It adds rich bass tones and deepens the sound quality you hear, but since the subwoofer only plays low tones, it will be silent when low frequency sounds are not in use.
