We are regular viewers of Netflix and Amazon Video and in an effort to rid a few boxes, bought this one as the master. Has Netflix but no Amazon Video. Offers other "social media" type channels but if we wanted to get on FB, Twitter, Flicker, etc. we would do so by our computer. DVD players are meant to play movies...so why didn't we include more movie type channels?

Works with our new smart tv by vizio. I really liked the size of it because I bought a antique icebok that I converted into a TV stand and it fits perfectly. Also at the time we bought it we had thought we didn't want a entertainment system that took up a large area in our formal living area. This is great.

I have tried out a smart TV located at the same location to stream NetFlix directly, but it failed to load and stream without interruption but when I tried this device for the same it loaded Netflix fast and streaming was flawless.

Great inexpensive blu-ray player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you don't need the 3D, this is a great alternative. Plays great , easy set-up and firmware updating. Smart feature has easy access to internet. The only drawback of this is you can't tell if it is on or off. There are no indicators on the player itself. I just had to set the TV on this input and then turn it on, to make sure it is off turn it off before switching the tv input back to cable or other input.
