Blu-Rays, Yes. DVD's, Not So Sure

Like many other users say, this player is good and fast for Blu-Rays. However, I haven't been overly impressed with the up-conversion capabilities for DVD's. The picture looks more than a little grainy. My old Panasonic S-97 did a better job. If you want a Blu-Ray player, but still have a vast DVD collection, you might want to spend some extra coin on a player that does both formats equally well. Since most of you have both formats, I can't, in all honesty, recommend it.

Fast, feature rich but not as compatible
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am a big Samsung fan, and this player has a lot of features and a fast processor. The only downside I found was that it did not play several formats of movies stored on my local NAS. My Samsung TV (7150 model) which is a year or so older than this player is able to play the same files just fine. If streaming movies from your home network or attached hard drive is importnt you might want to look elsewhere...but if you don't care about this feature and are looking for a solid (fast) smart player then this is a winner!
