Clear pictures and sound. Great setup, they should done this years ago.

Did a search for 3D Blu Ray and got many good reviews about this model. Best Buy had in stock. Works really well on 1080 HD TV with high refresh rate 120Hz and up. Next year I'll see how it works on 4K TV.

It works as advertised. It responds very quickly and effective. Cannot comment on the 4K up conversion, because I did not try it. I have no 4K display. I buy it because it provide 7.1 analog audio outs.

I'm impressed with it. I replaced a 6-year old Samsung Blu-ray that had grown cranky about recognizing Blu-ray discs. "Unable to read this disc..." Really? Maybe the Internet rumors about the Blu-ray's laser burning out after a finite life is true. Picture is sharp and clear to the tv; audio is great. I haven't tried 5.1 pass-through from the Netflix software yet. It nicely up-converts DVD to almost-Blu-ray quality. I have a few minor problems with it (which may or may not be a problem for you): The J7500 has two HDMI outputs, but only HDMI-1 carries video and audio. HDMI-2 is audio only. I can't do as I did with the last Blu-ray player: plug one HDMI into the AV Receiver, and plug the other HDMI directly into the tv. It has an optical output (toslink), but no other video output. No Component, Composite, S-video or RF output. It makes for a nicely-bare back plate. You should have an amp or tv that is modern enough to have HDMI jacks. The 7500 does have discrete 7.1 surround audio jacks. It's drawer-fed rather than slot-fed. I prefer slot-fed. This is a minor annoyance for me because I have the player at the top of a stack of components inside a cabinet. I have to be careful when I insert and remove the disc. (I have to lift it to put it in the tray instead of just sliding it in. I know, I'm whining, but vertical space is tight in my AV closet.) The covering door will open to a light touch, but you won't see the disc. It doesn't have an "eject disc" button on the remote control. At least I haven't found one. (The Eject icon is on top of the player, on the right side. Odd, since every other control on the top right of the player is mirrored in the remote.) I have to walk up and kneel in front of the tv stack to insert or eject the disc. It has a captive AC cord, not an IEC plug-and-jack. (My old Samsung Blu-ray was also like this.) Not usually a problem -- and you're sure the cord won't fall out -- unless you're alone at home trying to feed the power cable out the back of the cabinet at the same time you're trying to rotate the AV components back to their front-facing position inside a cabinet. Now to a supremely minor quibble: The remote takes AAA batteries (included) instead of AA. All in all, I like this Blu-ray player, and I'd buy it again.

Bought this item to add to my home theater package. Needed to upgrade from previous one since new equipment is 4K.

Came in looking to buy a mid-range BR player. This was too good of a deal to pass up with discounts coming from buying a UHD TV and Soundbar at the same time.

I have played several DVD's, both Blu-Ray and standard DVD's. The upscaling was impressive on my Samsung 4K 65". The BluRay disk was fantastic and indicated it was made for 4K play (FURY movie). Controls were nice and took a bit of getting used to. But, I'm happy with the quality and price.

So far I have had no issues with the bluray player. The picture is very clear. it is fast and efficient. For the price it is well worth it.

I specifically purchased this blu-Ray play so my Sonos speakers worked properly. Sonos does not convert Dolby Digital so you need to have a player that is capatibility.

One of the best BD players that Best Buy sells. Worth the extra few dollars.

this dvd player replaces a previous samsung model. the previous dvd player was the exact same just different model number because they change each year. the previous model broke prematurely - i hope the same does not occur with this new one.

Setup was easy enough, just make sure you have the proper HDMI cables that support the video.

The player works well but wasn't compatible in playing the UHD movies that came with WD 4K device. You have to go direct to the TV for that feature and sign up with MGo. I don't know of any 4K DVD's yet so we'll wait and see on that end.
