We ordered this microwave along with a fridge, dishwasher, and gas range that all match the style. The gas range is back ordered but the fridge and dishwasher were delivered September 6th without issue and seem to be working very well.
The delivery drivers actually showed up early which was nice. The first man started removing the dishwater right away and then the old microwave. Those are removed and then the problem starts. The new microwave is brought in and the box has some damage. The microwave gets pulled out and it has been crushed by a forklift or something. The bottom of it has been crushed so hard it has multiple areas of bent, distorted frame, that renders it impossible to even install. The frame has been squeezed so hard it no longer has the same dimensions, picture 1.5" wider on each side of the bottom. The tech immediately sees it is broken and takes it back to the truck. But, they will not install our old microwave back. We've waited a week for BestBuy to call us which they did, but only to tell us the microwave is back ordered till December!!!! So, currently we haven't had a microwave for a week. I can't reinstall it (and shouldn't have to) because I'm out of state for work.
The delivery company said they have no responsibility because it was brand new and not an open box. It's asinine that the delivery company doesn't check the condition of the new appliances before removing the old ones. That is just terrible standard practice. I work in engineering and I'd get fired in 5 minutes if I performed my job that way. Best Buy is trying to figure out how they can this escalated to get approval for someone to reinstall our old microwave. At this point I'm 30 seconds away from canceling the microwave and demanding my money back so I can go buy it from Lowes or Home Depot which have it in stock as of today.
BestBuy needs to do a massive inspection of their warehouses and figure out why so many of their products keep getting broken at the warehouse or pre-delivery. Look through the reviews on here and you can see it is an endemic problem that they have.

How can a manufacturer put a clock on a device that shuts off and needs to have someone touch it to make it light up?
Installation left something to be desired. The charcoal filter was not install and thrown away. Thanks for a partial installation Best Buy!!!
