We had the over the range microwave installed and running for almost 1 year and 4 months. It stopped heating food. I had an appliance repairman come and tell me that the magnatron was not working. I was like ok good because Samsung warranties that for like 5 years! He said well you have to schedule service through Samsumg so I called them. The very helpful gentleman helped me tet a few things via video call, none of which worked. Well because it had been slightly over a year, and didnt buy an extended warranty i would have to pay $120 for one of their serviceman to look at it and then $90 atleast for labor. I already spent $120 for the first company to look at it.

We like the look of the unit and some of the functionality. What is completely disappointing is the venting. The vent is incredibly loud. You can barely hear yourself speak when it is on. Then the suction of the vent is virtually non existent! I cannot believe that the Samsung engineers have done such a poor job in designing the venting. I was told that no matter how you decide to vent the microwave, the problem is the same! Come on guys you could have done a much better job! If you are thinking of buying, hold off until Samsung can get the venting corrected!
