A microwave that is not turning on or is turning off by itself is usually caused by overheating or a low power supply. However, if your microwave doesn’t heat up at all, it could be in Demo mode.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This is a very modern microwave that looks great in the kitchen, especially with other Samsung appliances and matches well above a Samsung slide in range. The first thing we had to get used to was that there isn’t a traditional handle and the whole front opens. It’s weird because its different, but easy to get used to and I like how its minimalistic yet has a lot of different buttons for different modes. The top complaint I have is there isn’t one button that can be pressed to turn it on. In older microwaves I have had the ability to press 1 or 2 for 1 or 2 minutes and not needed to press start. With this one it does have a 30 seconds feature which is good for quick reheats. As far as microwaves go, this one has many features and modes to cook anything and is programmable based on the food you want to cook. I do wish that this had smart features as we have a SmartThings enabled range and fridge. It would be nice to see this in our SmartThings kitchen too but I suppose its something I wouldn’t use that much. I can get There is also a rack if you need to heat a lot of food at once, but I like the spinning plate to help the food be heated evenly. The capacity is huge and I cant imagine needing to heat something that wouldn’t fit. I typically use the microwave for reheating unless something can be cooked in the microwave from frozen, such as vegetables. I am happy with this purchase and will continue to recommend Samsung home appliances in the future.

Don’t buy Samsung Microwave

We were sold on it because of the melt features and now we can’t use any of the features without getting a C-10 error code. Very disappointed! Our previous GE brand lasted 20 years with no issues.

Does not heat after 20 months

Stopped working after a year and a half

Unfortunately, just a couple days ago, it started making a weird noise and now won't heat anything. Incredibly disappointing given the price tag. Contacted support and was basically told to pound sand because I'm outside the 1 year warranty (which wasn't unexpected but still disheartening none the less). Maybe it was a lemon, maybe it wasn't. I personally would advise you to stear clear.

Only reason for not giving five starts is that the latch broke, so the door has to be held in a certain position for it to work. Parts/labor are more expensive than the microwave when it was new.

SE Error~ Inoperable Unit

I purchased this microwave August 2020, it arrived October 2020. The first issue I had was that after installation by the contractor, the door would not open all of the way because it was pushed all the way flushed against the wall. Fast forward, 1 year and 3mos, while cooking and using the exhaust fan, an error code SE displayed and now it's inoperable. I feel like I wasted my money and will NEVER purchase a Samsung microwave ever again! My previous GE microwave lasted close 5 years.
