    Starts On Own

    Bought this microwave to replace an old one. Everything worked fine until a few months in when it started to register "7" on its own. Eventually it became a regular occurence. I contacted Samsung with no resolution. At one point it registered 77:77 and started on its own. Taking this info to Samsung, they wound up "fixing" it under warranty. They sent someone out to replace the door as it was a known issue and that was the "fix." We didnt have any more iasues until recently it started registering "7" on it's own again. After contacting Samsung numerous times, they wouldn't do anything as it was out of warranty. I sent them threads to this common occurence alomg with info about it starting on its own. They still refused to do anything to rectify this. So we replaced it with an LG microwave.

    Crap

    It stopped working in 2 years. spent 400 for this crap and now the heating is not working. Bad product and low quality material. NOT WORTH THE MONEY

    Could be better

    Just after the warranty expired, the buttons on the door became unresponsive. Only way to repair it is to replace the entire door ($250). The buttons are unable to handle steam from the stove. Buy a microwave with the buttons on a side panel so that you don't have to replace the entire door.

    Don’t Do It!!!!

    Samsung produces the WORST appliances with the worst customer service. We had to replace our 5 year old microwave the day after Thanksgiving and it’s worked 3 days since. They come out, “fix it” and it breaks or show up with a defective part and can’t fix it. We’ve had 3 repair appointments and the 4th no showed. They’re refusing to replace or refund it now because they have to have someone else verify it’s defective. Our refrigerator ice maker line has frozen up as have 2 of my coworkers, our dishwasher panel went out about a week past the warranty and the first microwave died after 5 years and the replacement has worked 3 days in 2 months. Buy any other brand!!

    Useless function buttons

    I purchased the Samsung microwave ME21R7051SS 3 months ago. I am disappointed in the functioning of the product. When you set the kitchen timer you cannot perform another function without cancelling the timer. On my previous microwave another function such could be performed. This is very inconvenient allowing the microwave only to function as a timer. I do not need a $500 timer. Also, the sensor reheat function rh-1, rh-2, rh-3 overheats my food. When I called Samsung customer service I was told there that these functions are preset and you cannot adjust the time or power level. I was told that I needed to set the time and then adjust the power level after putting the food in the microwave. This totally defeats the purpose of the preset buttons. I would not recommend this product. At this price point a better microwave is available.

    Do Not Buy!!!!!

    Six years ago I moved into my new home and renovated my kitchen to include all new Samsung appliances in black stainless steel which I purchased at Best Buy. Upon the installation of my appliances by certified tech's, the dishwasher leaked. Called the tech from Samsung who told me the countertops were not installed properly and they could not fix it. Luckily, I was able to repair it myself, even though the tech stripped the screw to adjust it. Next the stove, as we cleaned it the black stainless began to chip off and reveal the stainless steel under it. Shortly after, the refrigerator's ice maker completely stopped working. Lastly, on Christmas Day, this microwave stopped working completely, tripping the breaker each time we started it. Samsung customer service has been of no help at all and I gave up dealing with them once my ice maker stopped working. I spent close to $6000 on appliances and all have issues, this is completely unsatisfactory, as I have always had faith in Samsung electronics, however their appliances are awful!!!

    Awful, SE error twice on this microwave.

    Awful, SE error twice on this microwave....how can that be? It was fist within the year and the repair was covered under warranty. Now the second time around it was oever the year and out of warranty. Called Samasung to explain that this happened twice and there should be something wrong with the unit design if failed twic for the same reason (The repair should have lasted at least a year).....didnt get the help! what a shame after owning 2 samungs TV, washer, dryer, dishwasher, over the range microwave, stove.....i think i need to consider different brand. Now time to buy one, but i shouldnt consider the same microwave/brand

      We understand that a microwave should function without an error code for more than a year, MoisesQ. We're here to help!

      S.E. means Key short error.

      If you get an error code, service is needed. First, though, you may clear the error if you power cycles the microwave. And if moisture may have gotten in the microwave, that could be causing errors, too, so let it dry. Below is a link for more information.

    !! FIRE RISK !!

    Bought this Microwave in November of 2019 as part of a complete set of Kitchen appliance. Four months later, In March of 2020 it started having a very strong electrical burning smell with light smoke. Samsung sent a service company out who replaced the defective part. Was told then if we had left it running there's a good chance it would have caught on fire. The unit worked fine for 10 months until 2 weeks ago the same, strong electrical smell started again. Voiced my concern with Samsung that this was the second time and I was not comfortable with this being a fire hazard in my home. hey actually told me "If it hasn't actually caught on fire yet, there is nothing we can do" and sent me to another repair facility. Just letting folks know, buy a Samsung Microwave at your own risk!

    If youre looking for a good microwave, avoid this one. Ours just died again. The thing never worked right, being that it's a Samsung appliance. It's pretty terrible at venting, heating and functionality.

    I bought this microwave because of its streamlined look and salesperson's recommendation. After four years, it's not heating and makes a loud noise. What a piece of junk. I've owned microwaves in the past and each one lasted 10-20 years. I've been to Samsung's website to troubleshoot, with no success. I've also checked to see what it'll cost to repair by Samsung - $350! - almost as much a purchasing a new one. We also purchased a Samsung refrigerator, dishwasher, and oven range at the same time. Each one has its own issues, but at least they still work. I'll never buy Samsung appliances again.

    According to many other reviews I guess we were lucky to make it 2 years and 9 months before getting the SE error and no longer able to operate. I have never had issues with Samsung brand until now.

    ordered around thanksgiving and geek squad installed it first week of Dec, 3 days later it will only work 10 seconds at a time with error CF-0. upon further close look, i saw a big dent on the side. called for replacement, today i took off another day from work so that they can install the new one. guess what we found when they took the new one out? dent on the back AGAIN. i sent it back. this is the 2nd day i took of work and stayed at home for a piece of junk. NOTE: the outside box is not dented, its my guess is that the issue is at QA at samsung from where they are packaging and shipping

    This thing is junk, purchased in late October by December it was dead. After waiting 4 weeks for repair, the tech. came out and repaired it, 4 hours later it was dead again. Now have to wait another week for them to come out again and diagnose it to either fix it again or replace it which will then be at least another week. Oh and the kicker is if they replace it the extended warranty is then terminated with the junk unit and would then have to buy another extended warranty. I have other samsung products which i`ve had good luck with this model is just terrible.

    Complete failure after less than 3 years of use

    15 months after purchase, the digital display on the door failed. the microwave itself still worked, but I would not know if I had entered 0:20 or 2:00 for the time. It was a guessing game. Not to mention not being able to see the time or use the timer function. To correct the issue required replacing the whole door at a cost of $135. Not happy! 30 months after purchase, the heating mechanism failed. Now I have the opposite problem, I can use the clock and timer but the microwave does not heat anything up. Replacing this microwave will not come with the purchase of another Samsung microwave.

    Lasted 2 years!!

    I purchased my microwave on 11/21/16. It was very easy to insult! On August 17, 2017 it blew a fuse. BUT it was still under the one year warranty. On October 31, 2018 it blew a fuse AGAIN. It's no longer under the one year warranty. To repair the microwave would be $200. I only paid $350 from Best Buy. A microwave should last longer then 2 years!!! I'm very disappointed in the product. Samsung's only suggestion was that I try and find someone cheaper to fix it. They TOTALLY missed the point! I don't not recommend this microwave. CAUTION!!!!!

    Samsung kitchen appliances are junk

    Samsung kitchen appliances are absolute junk. We purchased a suite of devices. This microwave currently has a bad heat sensor. Medium to light use after 4 years. We also currently have a dishwasher that stopped working. We also have a range that's has already had 2 gas valves replaced.
