Bewildered and broke

Then it stopped cooling and freezing completely on August 13. The lights are on but no one’s home. In just a few weeks it failed. And Samsung is making us wait a week for a technician. Best Buy won’t replace it because we are beyond the 15 day return window. And we have lost more than $500 worth of food. This fridge freezer cost $2,000. I cannot tell you how disappointed we are with the appliance, and with the customer service. We had to spend another $130 on a college fridge to tide us over. Buy your big appliances from somewhere else and don’t buy a Samsung.

Terrible is an understatement

Owned for 4 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Can I give 0 stars? 4 1/2 month old refrigerator stopped cooling (fridge and freezer). Came to my account on Best Buy for customer support, explained situation, they forwarded me to Samsung. After being on hold for too long chose texting option. Went through 'reset' and was told it could take 4 hrs for display to show temp and 28 hrs to actually achieve set temp. This was late afternoon early evening. I asked about the fact that the compressor was not coming on. I was told that it would. It never did come on and the next morning the inside temperature had went from 67° in the fridge to 73. Had to wait until after work to contact customer service yet again who I had to provide all the information to a second time even though I was told by the first rep I wouldn't have to. They put in a ticket to schedule service and said it could take 1 to 2 days. It was another day before I was contacted by a service rep who again had to check the warranty and then I was informed it would take another one to two days for someone to contact me to schedule service. As of right now I'm on day three without a refrigerator looking at one to two more days before anything is even scheduled. Not to mention the $300 plus of food that I have lost. At no time in this entire process has anyone ever seemed concerned that I am without a refrigerator totally plus the loss of my food. There has not seemed to be any sort of urgency to get me help. The most I have gotten was "we apologize for the inconvenience". Really? Inconvenience? That's what you call it? Terrible product, service and company. And unless they do something extreme pretty quickly, I will never recommend and will in fact do my best to make sure others do not go through the same, which can only be guay y not purchasing products from them. I actually think it's cooler outside today than it is I side this fridge.

Samsung Junk Appliances

Posted .Great to read your review, KarenH. Your exterior refrigerator may not be resistant, as the fingerprint-resistant model having a damp cloth can be helpful in wiping the prints immediately.
For the fridge's exterior, use a stainless cleaner, polish, or soft cloth, and always wipe in the grain direction. Never use abrasive cleaning products, as this could scratch the fridge's finish. Watch these videos for complete details. Please see these links for details.

Customer service is horrible.

I have been waiting a year and a half for a credit cause the fridge was damaged when delivered. The call center said they sent it, then 6 months nothing call again "sent it" again check is expired, call back they tell me to take the check to the store and they can issue a new one, never heard of this but ok, and sure enough they just laughed. I asked the manager to call in and deal with it, he was hung up on twice finally gets through and same thing. New case number again, no check two months later call and there was an issue with the processing, rather than resolving it they just ignored it, don't call me or email me or the store just ignore it, so they started a new case again and should have an answer in 1 week, 3 weeks later we get the update, they claim to be processing a new check now. I even asked just for a store credit and I will find something else at best buy, but nope too late now, if they would have told me you get the store credit now or the check in 2 years I would have done the store credit, guess I will just start calling daily. Home depot, despite sending and install crew with no tools, then them getting mad that we didn't have any tools at house we had unloaded the first box into a hour prior and leaving the fridge in our drive way for 3 weeks, was easier to deal with getting the fridge returned than this, and all we want is a check.

Do not buy a Samsung refrigerator

A service tech confirmed on June 16th that it was the sealed parts (likely the compressor) and that it would need to be replaced. The fridge was less than three years old! It took from June 12 though July 25 and counting, I still don’t have the refund. Being without a fridge for weeks and weeks is unmanageable for a family. The process took too long, what should have been one engaged customer service agent asking me for the information needed was a text, my quick response, days and days awaiting Samsungs response, then another text and repeating the cycle. Finally on June 26 I spoke with someone from Samsung who said it was unacceptable to be without a fridge for so long and that they would be issuing a refund asap. At that time I ordered a new fridge taking on the debit. But I still don’t have the money as of today and yet I have a credit card payment due. I strongly believe if I hadn’t spent hours and hours chasing Samsung down I would not get the refund at all. I clocked 3.5 hours one Saturday with their online ‘support’. This process seems set up to outlast the customer so they do not to have to honor the warranty. This has been a very frustrating process and I do not recommend buying from Samsung.

Great while it lasted
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After owning a bespoke already and liking it, I decided to purchase this one for my grandma. 2 weeks after delivery (almost to the hour), entire fridge died. Since I was still under manufacture warranty, Samsung sent their technician out who determine the fans and compressor were fully dead and needed to be replaced. He let me know that he has 7 other customers with the same issues with their Bespokes. Because I was still under the warranty period, I immediately called Best Buy to return it (which they were great about). Unfortunately, my own bespoke started having compressor issues a month after returning my grandmas, and I can’t say I can vouch for them anymore

Good looking but vegetables rot quickly

Keeps things cold, it looks nice on the outside with clean design, and I like the auto-fill pitcher and "beverage center." [To hear from more people like me, You can google "Vegetables going bad sooner in new Samsung refrigerator".] I thought refrigerators must have gotten better in the last 20 years (our last GE was 20 yo), but apparently not. Our last fridge kept things cold, AND greens didn't rot in less than a week. In short, this fridge doesn't give any extra humidity to the "Crisper+" drawer, and there is no way to adjust the humidity (which needs to be higher to keep vegetables fresh). I really wish I hadn't spent almost $3K on something that's worse than a 20 year-old fridge. It has an app to make it "connected" but that's useless, other than adjusting the overall temperature and turning some features (ice maker/auto-fill pitcher) On/Off, which can be accomplished with the buttons inside the fridge. A Samsung-contracted technician came to look at it, but he said it's working as it should, and can't be made better. TL;DR: No, I don't recommend it.

Failed Delivery x 2, bad customer service after

On both occasions, the fridge was damaged before arrival to my home. I talked with customer service who offered a promotion for same fridge new out of the box but didn’t reach an agreement. I told them to cancel order and refund the money. Nothing. I went on the app and cancelled the order. It says to wait “48 hours” it’s been months… please remove this charge off of my Best Buy credit card. I have been a loyal customer for years and this really makes me reconsider. This has been ridiculous to deal with

No panels!

Repairs too soon

Owned for 2 months when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have barely had my new refrigerator less than 2 months and already both doors on top are not sealed properly they don't close tightly and the drink door opens but you have to lift to close and it gets stuck to other and won't open separately I am so disspointed in Best Buy with how many times I have had repairs on all my Samsung appliance and now I have a new one that is alreay needing to have a repair. I do not understand why I can not get a good quality product at Best Buy as much as I love the design its just not looking good to already have a repair this soon of purchase. This just makes me feel this will be a continuing issue as this has to be a manufactor in this product.

Was dilivered broken

Terrible

If you do the doors won’t open. Just a terrible design. I wish I could return it. If you buy a counter depth one make sure it is free standing with no walls or a frame around it.

Samsung fridge

Don’t buy

Not built to last
