Doors don't work for most cabinet set ups!

The self fill pitcher is great and really convenient and the two types of ice are high quality and useful. Now for the negatives. The doors require an extra 2 inches on each side of the fridge for clearance to open. So unless your cabinets are set up in a way where you have this abnormal amount of clearance needed don't buy this. This info is not contained on any spec sheet from samsung or best buy for some head scratching reason. Also you cant access drawers internally with out having both doors open, a cooling nightmare. The release to access the water is only on the bottom of the door so unless you are 5ft or shorter be prepared to bend over and smack yourself in the head with the door as you awkwardly try and open it. it was hysterical watching my kids smash their face trying to open it but not so funny when I did it to my self. While there is a lot of square footage for storage it can't be efficiently organized for much. The freezer is great but the ice tray has a horrible lay out. The scoop is contained above the ice in a secret compartment but if you use the scoop you can't put it back unless you close the freezer all the way and then re open it again to access the secret compartment. I am convinced this fridge was designed by a team of graphic artist who have never been in a Kitchen except to unpack their doordash orders.

Warranty Ends, Problems Begin

I bought a 2-year warranty plan with Best Buy, and right after those 2 years expired, the water dispenser stopped working. I contacted Samsung directly, and they told me the part I needed wasn’t available. Instead of resolving the issue, they tried to charge me and even suggested I purchase another water filter—even though I had already bought two genuine Samsung filters and was still having the same problem. It’s been over a month now, and the issue remains unresolved. The customer service from Samsung has been terrible—unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to stand behind their product. For the cost of this appliance, I expected much better quality and support. I am genuinely questioning purchasing any more Samsung products again after this experience.

Troublesome unit for us

This fault caused icing on the plastic above the ice collection baskets and also on the drawer slides. Now, the replacement is being replaced because it has a deep crease in the frame base below the freezer that keeps the seal from stopping moist aid entering the unit. This cause icing again, as well as icing on the fan forcing air from the freezer into the refrigerator portion. Consequently, temperatures in the refrigerator portion vary enough to jeopardize the safety of food stored there.

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Buy offered an exceptional service selling us the fridge but the only thing was that we purchased the fridge thinking it was available as soon as we put in the order. It wasn’t. We were told it was delayed not once, not twice but the date changed nearly 4 times just to have the fridge delayed 6 weeks after the purchase date. That’s insane and we are irritated. The least Best Buy could do is to check with the manufacturer for availability and tell us “oh if you want that fridge, it will be a 6-8 week wait”, etc, etc. pretty awful.

Worst customer support award of the year

Registering the warrantee is an absolute nightmare. Following the link from the QR code fills up the form for you but the "Register" button is not active and so you can't proceed. Probably because they don't actually debug their website on iOS devices because why would they... Trying to fill up the form manually, on Safari, Firefox and Chrome all ends up with the same result of the Botton not working. Not sure what I did eventually, but I suspect that following someone's advice on the Samsung forums I ended up registering on the UK website and then it showed up on my account and I could submit proof of purchase. trying to call the Samsung customer support means waiting 30 min for an answer from general support, then transfer to "registration" support (which doesn't have its own number so if the line drops you need to go through this chain again), then waiting there another 30 min to finally talk to a human drone explaining that they can't actually register the product only help you troubleshoot their website. Alternatively (they actually suggested it!) you can purchase a samsung phone so can use the app on it to register your fridge... So... if you feel like wasting 3 weeks registering the product, taking up an unpaid job working at the Samsung customer support or just forfeiting your warrantee, by all means this is the fridge for you.

Please consider the following before you buy.

Lots of Ice with 2 different size of cubes. Good for filling up water bottle with smaller opening. Glass panels, nice asthetics and convenient to leave a quick note or reminder. Cons: No Handle to open or close the fridge. This will lead to door slaming since there are no handle to control the door when closing. Especially kids. The water dispenser is inside. Hence when dispensing water the fridge is open and loosing cold air. Ice dispenser in the freezer. You need to use hands to get ice. Which can get messy if you have kids. To open the door to water dispenter has separate opening. The Fridge comes with 4 washers to help balance the doors. One of my door was not adjusted by the installer. Hence the tab between the doors was not shutting and sealing the fridge. Hence it was leaking cold air. We accidentally disposed the washers and later I had to fish them out of the trash. Summary: I will not recommend this fridge for practicle reasons. Lookwise its nice and ellegant.

Very large and a big disappointment.

It was really deep, meaning a lot of stuff gets lost on the bag. The interior of the door storage was really shallow and could not fit as much as my side by side. Food in the freezer got frost/ ice on the outside of the containers within a day or two, and things in the fridge got frozen (lettuce, for example). Ultimately we returned it.

Freezer stopped working in 4 months

On top of having to wait a month and a half for best buy to deliver it, we had it from February to June and the freezer has stopped working. At first it just slowed ice production for a week or so, then stopped making ice all together. Now its barely a cooler. We didn’t buy the Best Buy product protection scam/plan, so we’re waiting a week for Samsung to send someone out. Everything is a gamble because nothing is made to quality anymore. Good luck.

Sadly, mine failed

Unfortunately mine stopped working in less than 3 weeks. I decided to replace it with a more reliable brand. Samsung makes great phones, but i wont buy another appliance from them. I'm truly sad about this as I loved the refrigerator conceptually. Maybe i just got a lemon, but I dont want to risk having another one fail.
