It’s a panel in the color you choose. DO NOT ORDER IT FROM BEST BUY. You can get them from many other retailers, including the manufacturer directly, for the same price. I was rescheduled a half dozen times, often the day of or after sitting around waiting, only to be explicitly lied to by Best Buy customer service saying they were on the way or some mysterious warehouse issue came up.

Our refrigerator took two months to arrive and then the panels took another three. Best Buy provides no support at all once the sale is closed. You are on your own to track the shipments. The glass panels themselves are very nice and seem durable. Easy to clean.
