Best Air Purifier I have ever tested

I’ll get right to the point. Of all the air purifiers I have reviewed for TIN and others I have dealt with as an HVAC contractor, this is the best one of all! It’s also the quietest of all the stand alone portable units as well. At the lowest setting you cannot hear it running unless you’re in a dead quiet room and listening really hard. It looks good and integrates with Samsung’s SmartThings app. Conclusion right up front, Highly HVAC contractor recommended. https://www.samsung.com/us/home-appliances/air-purifiers/cube-air-purifier/bespoke-air-purifier-in-grey-ax350a9350g-aa/#benefits The unit is well packed and taped up. The quick guide manual will guide you to get set up and going. There are several filters that go into the back of the unit. That’s where you will find them preinstalled. However, you will need to remove them and the heat shrink plastic before reinstalling them and operating the unit. It comes with several extra “pet” pre-filters. Using the pet pre filters is optional. They are for catching hair and large particles and making the other filters last longer. The info display on the front right corner is invisible when the unit is off. However, it’s easily visible in operation. Brightness is subtle and not overwhelming. It’s white in color and high enough resolution that the number and letter edges are very smooth. My guess is it’s OLED instead of LCD. Kudos to Samsung for implementing the display in such a refined and classy way. I hate it when manufactures use LEDs that are too bright. Especially blue LEDs. Setting the device up on Samsung’s SmartThings is pretty easy. If you’re already using SmartThings just go to it, click add the device and follow the instructions. If not, then download the app on Android or iOS and follow the instructions. SmartThings can also control much more than just Samsung devices. Works with Alexa and Google too. Visit the site to find out more. https://www.smartthings.com/ Controlling the device with SmartThings is pretty easy. You can set a schedule for it to operate, enable a sleep mode schedule, set blower (wind) speed, set to “Intelligent Care” (Auto) and let the device take care of air quality. It measures the room's air quality and reads it out in the app. See photos. The Bespoke may look like a simple box with a cool front that sits on the floor, but it can come to life when it needs to in automatic “Smart” mode. What I mean by that is not only does the blower ramp up but the front extends outward also to help disperse the air. Yes, it does make noise at full speed as you would expect it too. After it cleans the air it will close up the front and slow down in auto mode. The display on the front reads out dust and GAS info. You can watch the number rise and fall. The app shows even more info and details. “A Micro Air Sensor accurately detects dust particles of various sizes (PM10/2.5/1.0) in real time, including ultrafine dust as small as 0.3μm. The gas sensor also identifies the degree of gaseous contamination, including ammonia and benzene.” -Samsung’s site If you like to burn candles or incense you might not want to use this device. I have been using this in our master bedroom (apx 400 sqr ft) as of late. I lit a candle and within a few minutes it ramped up and sounded like it was going to take off. The dust reading jumped from the usual 5 to a peak of 433. After a total of around 20 minutes it settled back down to normal blower wise but displayed GAS for about another 15 minutes. The display stayed white but the LED indicator above it went from green to yellow to red quickly. Then eventually back to green after a total time of about 40 minutes tops. YES, it took out all the odor and you could tell and smell the difference. You can smell the difference anytime you walk into that bedroom. It’s not night and day, but you can smell a slight difference. Smells Clean Note: You enter the bedroom from the living room. We have the Blue Air running in the living room / dining room area. Compared to other portable units I have tested: The Blue Air and Filtrete units both have Auto modes that behave in a similar manner. Speed up the blower when levels go up and return to the lowest setting when they are back down. All have illuminated top mounted controls and operation status indicators. All have cleanable pre filters. All have hepa filters and activated carbon except the Filtrete unit. It’s hepa only. Blue Air and FIltrete plug directly into an electrical outlet. Samsung uses a power brick. Kyvol uses an adapter and 12 VDC USB-C connector. Compared to Blue Air 280i: WiFi, App shows particulate and VTOC levels. Shows temperature and humidity too. Shows trends. Detailed info is in the app only. Otherwise it’s just a lit indicator that a level(s) is high. Square tombstone shape. Replaceable slab filter in the back comes in 2 grades and is expensive. Very quiet at the lowest setting. About $270 cheaper. Compared to 3M Filtrete FAP-ST02N: WiFi. App shows particulate levels and trends. Filtrete displays a number 1 to 99 for air quality and filter life. Tall and cylindrical in shape. Pre filters on the sides and the main slab filter is inside and inexpensive. Quiet at lowest setting. About $350 cheaper.. Compared to Kyvol Vigoair P5: No WiFi. Very basic. Small cylindrical shape with pre filters and air filter in the bottom. Good luck finding a replacement filter. Sells for just over $100. Build quality is plastic, but premium. On par with high end the Samsung Whisper Mini-Split systems I have installed. See photos of the inside of the unit. It’s the most expensive of the air purifiers I’ve tested. In my opinion, it’s worth it.

I love the new Bespoke Cube Air Purifier from Samsung. I already owned two of the older version Cube air purifiers from Samsung but I wanted one for a different room in my house so I got this one. There isn’t a whole lot different from the older models, but that’s okay because those were already great! The Bespoke has a pet filter that is new. It basically adds one more layer of filter (in the form of a vinyl mesh sheet) to gather pet hair and dander and prevent it from going into the machinery. It should be cleaned every two weeks or so. I’m not crazy about that part. I wish I could just leave it and forget it, but if it helps with longevity, I guess it’ll be worth it. The pet filter should be a nice addition for me and my four pets. The display seems a little less bright than the older model too, which is good at night in a bedroom because I don’t like bright LED’s in the room. The display doesn’t add too much light, but is still easily read. The sound, when it’s running on low, is almost non-existent. When it’s doing heavy duty air cleaning, it gets a little louder, but It’s never an annoying or disturbing sound in any way. It’s actually a soothing “whoosh” sound. The filters can last up to a year and do an excellent job of clearing out any odors from pets or cooking; leaving nice, neutral smelling air. You do have to buy new air filters as opposed to cleaning and replacing the old ones, so that is a future expense to keep in mind. They aren’t cheap either. The display always lets you know what your air quality is like too, which is nice for peace of mind. The front of the Bespoke is a little busy, with its metallic alternating line patterns. It doesn’t bother me though and looks kind of modern. This is by far the best air purifier I’ve tried (and I’ve tried several different brands). It has a fantastic combination of function, form, and build quality. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to breath cleaner, better smelling air in their home.

Great Air Cleaner Without Fan Output!

The Samsung Bespoke Cube does an outstanding job of not only clearing the air, but also at letting me know the status through the Smartthings app on my phone. Being about the size of a small ottoman or single file cabinet, it takes up no more space than other air cleaners. The unboxing was pretty straightforward with the exception of the amount of shipping tape (lots) and the not too clear description of the different filters. After re-reading the manual multiple times, I finally got it fully set up. Your experience with setup could be better, just seemed unnecessarily difficult for me. Once setup was complete, it was time to download the Smartthings app. I had used it before for a different Samsung product and was really disappointed. I really hoped that changes had been made to make it easier and better to use. Once downloaded and started, I found that the app was updated and worked well. It immediately found the Bespoke Cube and set up was simple. Once the app set everything up, it was time to let it do it's thing! It is pretty quiet, with the front frame pushing air in multiple directions, not just straight out like a fan, which was good for me. The front expands out and contracts as needed for the amount of cleaning going on. The first time we were cooking a large meal, I was shocked to see the front expanding out and hearing the fan ramp up. It was pretty interesting at first, and really through me off. But as the level of dirty air dropped, the frame contracted and thew fan spun down. Make sure you take that fact into account when determining where to place the Cube. The display on front gives basic info on air quality levels and VOC levels (listed as GAS on the display). The Smartthings app is where you can get the full breakdown of air quality, the history, energy used, and conditions outside in your area. The Samsung Bespoke Cube does a great job at clearing the air, keeping up with the status of the air around us and really keeping the air healthy! We are really happy with the Bespoke Cube and highly recommend it. The continued use and longevity will be tracked and updated once it's been in operation for a while. I hope this review helps in your decision. Good Shopping!

Owning 2 long haired dogs & having had pets my entire life; I'm not new to air cleaners/purifiers. They've improved over the years as to what they can handle & the type/quality of filtration; and now Samsung has thrown their hat in the game. The biggest problem I had with this item - the box it came in! The unit is heavy for its size, Upon getting it in the door, I pushed it across the living room to a spot where I could unbox it. What I didn't realize was that it's a pull off box; the bottom side is a pretty crumbly styrofoam; so I left a trail of crumbs across the floor. My advice - get a piece of cardboard to lay it on; more particles will come out when you pull off the box. But it only gets better from here. As is the case with most devices today, the first step is to download the app; which in this case is Samsung Smart Things; a multi-function app for many Samsung products. Having a Samsung TV & Robot Cleaner, I already had the app, it was just a matter of adding the air purifier. The purifier comes with a triple filtration system - a charcoal, the main Hepa filter, and a very fine mesh filter which they term as a pet hair; but I can see how it would also collect large particle & dust so it doesn't prematurely fill up the main Hepa filter. Very smart. Once the filter pack was assembled, I fired it up. The control panel display is very low key, actually invisible if the unit is not on, when it is operating, it has an unassuming soft glow that would be very welcome if you're using it in a bedroom. The app offers full control of the device, you can set the wind strength to high, wind free (low), sleep, pet (remove pet fur & odors), or smart, which basically lets the unit do its own thing according to the current air quality. It also has a Smart Sleep switch with an ambient light detector which will sleep the unit at an appointed time & it senses darkness. Not that you would actually need that, depending on your sensitivity to bedroom noise; the unit is very quiet, actually the quietest I've ever seen. Then again, I'm a person that enjoys a bit of white noise in the bedroom, but whatever your choice, the Samsung has it covered. The sensitivity of the unit is pretty remarkable. We have it sitting in the living room; as we began to pan fry some chicken, I heard the unit go into high speed. When I went to look, I saw that the front display was illuminated GAS, as it had detected the small amount of gas emitted prior to the pilot light of the stove igniting the flame. When it does go into high speed, the front/rear panels automatically tip open to allow maximum air flow. As a bonus, this is actually a pretty good looking addition to whatever room you put it in, it doesn't look like you have an appliance in your living space. Just put a vase or some knickknack on top of it & it's right at home. Samsung seems to have done their homework on this piece - does what it's supposed to do, certainly better than any I've owned, and it looks good doing it. Hopefully I'll get a long life out of it.

The first thing you notice is the sleek design. The setup is very easy. The two filters are already in the cabinet. They just need to be removed to take the plastic sealing off of them and reinstall them. The extra pet filter is included and easy to install. I had the purifier up and running within 10 minutes of opening the box. The purifier has an indicator to tell you when a new filter is needed. The filter replacement cost is $79. This is kind of pricey, but hopefully there will be generic filters that will come out for it soon at a reduced cost. The purifier sits on the floor and is about the size of a large subwoofer. It can easily fit in most rooms. I like the looked of the purifier and it is very quiet most of the time. You can set it for the “Smart” setting that will adjust the fan speed based on conditions. You can also adjust the settings manually or in the app if you want. Overall, the BeSpoke is a great air purifier, but a little pricier than some. If I could give it 4.5 instead of 5 I would because of the price and the maintenance costs. I would recommend it to my friends.

Smart air purifier with high quality

Bespoke Cube is Samsung's newest air purifier. The colorful stylish design of the air purifier blends with the home decor. The setup was so easy, just insert the included filters and you are done. The cube is recommended for up to 350 Sq. Ft. rooms, which I used in my living room, and it covered the area surprisingly good. It is so quiet; you will barely notice any noise even at higher speeds. Using the SmartThings app, you can control this purifier, get notifications, check the air quality, etc. There is a display at the top right section of the front panel that shows the air quality, operating mode, and filter color indicator. The air purifier has a powerful 5-way suction in the rear to intake the air and circulates the cleaner air from the front panel for all around purification. The multi layered HEPA filtration system includes dust collecting filter, pet deodorization filter, pre-filter, and a pest mesh filter and combinedly remove any unpleasant odors while trapping dust. The Pet mode comes in handy if you have pets. It is supposed to remove pet hair and any odors. I like the fact that it has a Micro Air sensor that detects dust particles as well as identifying gas contamination. The filters can get expensive depending on your usage. They can last up to a year. The app will let you know when it is time to replace them as well. The front panel on the cube is interchangeable. If you are ever bored of the design, you can update it with a different color and pattern. Overall, this is one of the best high quality air purifiers and I highly recommend it.

    Attractive, Effective, Quiet Workhorse

This is our 3rd household air purifier, & this unit is the most technologically advanced of the 3. Our other 2 purifiers were larger rectangular boxes that were somewhat unattractive & obtrusive. With the bulkier units, we found ourselves trying to strategically place them out of the way, which became both a challenge & a compromise, given that they’re not at optimal function when placed against a wall or next to other fixtures or furniture. For maximum effectiveness, air purifiers like unobstructed airflow. In contrast, this attractive Cube has a sleek, compact design w/a modest footprint (just 14” x17” x15”) that blends nicely w/our furniture. Aesthetically, we’re comfortable placing it in the open where it fits w/our décor & can circulate best. We live in the Southeast in middle-Tennessee. Although it’s a beautiful area, it’s also known for pollen, dust mites, mold, ragweed, heavy concentrations of deciduous trees, a long growing season, & notorious seasonal allergies. In fact, our city is ranked by the Asthma & Allergy Foundation of America (AAFA) as an “Allergy Capital”. Accordingly, most of our local board-certified allergists & otolaryngologists (aka ENTs) recommend their allergy suffering patients consider buying certified household air purifiers/cleaners. So, we jumped at the chance to try this new Samsung high-tech air purifier in May, which was the perfect primetime window to test its effectiveness against our challenging environment. To cut right to the chase, after just one week of leaving this air purifier on auto/smart mode, we definitely feel a difference! Normally, as the weather warms in May, the house begins to smell a little musty by the time we come home from work. But after just a couple of days w/the Bespoke Cube, we both agreed that the downstairs area of the house had a cleaner, fresher, less stuffy smell when we walked in at the end of the day. We’ve also noticed that we’ve been sneezing less since we installed this unit earlier this month. Do we have expensive, sophisticated test equipment to scientifically validate what we believe is noticeably improved air quality? No. Is it possible that our perception that we’re breathing easier during this spring’s allergy season is due in part to a placebo effect & not directly attributable to this air purifier? I suppose it’s possible, but not likely. This unit includes a micro air sensor that accurately detects particles down to ultrafine dust as small as 0.3 microns. The gas sensor detects household odors including ammonia, acetic acid, benzene, & toluene. Its activated carbon HEPA (high efficiency particulate air) filter removes up to 99.7% of indoor airborne particulate matter circulating in our home. We cook w/natural gas & have a natural gas fireplace in the living room. Our open floor plan provides for a large open space w/the living room & dining room areas adjacent to the kitchen. We can now measure how cooking affects our air quality--via Samsung’s SmartThings App--before, during & after meals. This unit’s AI purification monitors the pollution level & constantly adjusts to optimize purification. When this smart unit detects heavy concentrations of contaminants in room air, the fan speed adjusts accordingly & the front panel extends outward to allow for increased airflow & purification. The unit is Wi-Fi enabled & includes Alexa & Google Asst. voice recognition. The app alerts you when it’s time to buy replacement filters. Although we don’t have pets, our siblings’ families do, & we’re recommending this unit to them. There’s a Pet Mode to remove pet hair & odors so that their families can all breathe cleaner air, & so can we, when we visit them! And for those w/smokers, this unit is also designed to filter tobacco smoke. One nice surprise: the SmartThings App came preloaded on our Samsung S22 Ultra smartphones. Of course, the Cube itself has a digital air quality display on the front panel if your phone’s not handy. Overall, this is a quiet, attractive, high-quality air purifier that we can confidently recommend for a 350 sq. ft. space. It’s not inexpensive, but then, quality never is. Samsung’s Bespoke Cube provides a good return on your investment. In fact, we plan on buying another unit for our master bedroom so that we’ll sleep better.

The Samsung Bespoke Cube Air Purifier is what I needed without actually knowing I needed it, especially during this horrible pollen season. Our family has seen a drastic decrease in the stuffy noses when indoors compared to prior years without the Samsung Bespoke Air Purifier. When it arrived, the packaging was good enough it survived UPS literally throwing the box out the side of the truck, yes, the driver was having a bad day and he tossed it out right onto my driveway and left. I was initially worried and had it on video, even called UPS and sent them the video before opening in case there was damage. Guess what, not even a scratch, so the price reflects more than the product itself, it is also the packaging you are paying for and it was worth it. The Bespoke air purifier connects to the Samsung Smart Things app for total control and ease of registering the product along with total operation control of the unit. The app also shows you all the data the actual unit is reading along with displaying it on its small ghosted display on the upper right corner. The power button took a minute to find, it is right next to the screen and is a tad hard to see at first in the gray color. Quiet is the name of the game here, yes, even at full function and ripping all those bad particles out of the air, it sounds like a small fan, normal use, you will be unable to hear it, I guarantee it. As the particles measured goes up, the unit self-adjusts its need to pull more air through the filtering system and the front actually expands to allow more air through and once clean, it closes back up and turns back into a quiet unit that sits perfectly in any corner or middle of the room. I placed ours near the front door and HVAC floor vent, which I can tell you the sensors are legit and work crazy fast. If you open the door, the unit almost instantaneously turns up the level of cleaning until back down to a normal level. This also does the same thing when the AC turns on, well, did at first. After a month of leaving the unit on auto, the AC no longer kicks it on as much, stating the air in our home is becoming more and more clean. I know it is stated for 350 sq feet but placing it near the vent has slowly helped clean the air throughout the home. The pet mode does seem to work, I have noticed my 13-year-old sneezing less and less from our cat and Husky. The unit is a tad heavy, at 27 pounds, it is not the easiest to move especially for someone with an arm that is still being rehabbed after surgery. Luckily the foot pads on the bottom slide the unit easily across wood or laminate flooring. I am very happy with the Samsung Bespoke Air Purifier that I ordered another for our upstairs hallway to help us breathe even better at night time.

This is my second venture into owning an air purifier product. I know a lot of consumers reading this review will be wondering, exactly how do you judge an air purifying product? I live in a home which is approximately 1800 square feet. We are constantly going in and out of our home all day, we have a parrot, cook pretty frequently, and do quite a bit of baking. The first thing that stuck me is the size of this product. It is pretty wide and has a large footprint. This alone told me that that amount of air that is going to be pushed by this unit is going to be pretty substantial. The noise level of this product is non-existent on the low settings and on the highest settings it still remained tolerable. I have my unit located in my bedroom. I can honestly say that it removes that stale air smell as well as clothes odors. I keep my unit on low and it does an amazing job. The unit has a set of small wheels on the bottom side. This definitely aided in the movement of the unit and its placement. I found the App once download and saved to my phone was decent working. My air purifier was connected to my IPhone 13, and the paring and connection was relatively simple. You can control the product in two ways. Either control it directly from the product itself, or control it thru the Smart Things app. It is nice to be able to have this choice, as there are a lot of products on the market which are ONLY controllable via an app. A safety note on this product. The front grill moves in and out according to what speed the unit is set to. On higher speeds, the grill is in the wide open position, and on the lower speeds the grill is more closed. If you have children, you should be careful when changing settings, as you want to ensure fingers or other objects don't become caught. Thus far, since I have had this product, it has worked wonderfully. In closing, I'm pretty happy with this product. On low speeds the air purifier is nearly silent which is perfect for light sleepers. Having a product that is capable of removing a dust, particles, odors and other impurities from your breathable air is great. I am definitely loving this product.

State of the Art Air Purifier

I have had previous experiences with air purifiers and I have to say that this one is quite unique, in a very positive way. Just to start off, the looks of it—it’s so modern and sleek looking, in a futuristic, classy way. Past air purifiers I’ve had were the standard rectangular, tall and nondescript ones; in other words, boring. I thought that was okay, as long as they did the job. Well, they did, they worked…I would call them adequate compared to this Samsung Bespoke Air Purifier. Why? Because not only does this have the looks, but it really works, and it works extremely well. The AI purification system which monitors the level of air pollution works like magic—it continuously senses the pollution level via a Micro Air Sensor and automatically adjusts to compensate. There’s a discreet, simple touch display on the upper right front which shows the air quality levels: the concentration levels (the dust particles in parts per million, I believe) and the operation mode (there’s a choice between Smart, High, Wind-Free, Sleep, Pet), as well as a color indicator (red, yellow, green, blue from worst to best). If there’s an indication of a type of gas contamination, the display will read “GAS”. As I’ve been using this air purifier for about a week, I’ve seen it successfully sense all these levels. When we cook in the kitchen, it revs up to clear the air of any smoke and odors. It senses everything, from the most minute change to the most obvious. One day we lit a stick of incense and it gently turned just a bit higher. The next morning we cooked some bacon (turning the surrounding air quite hazy) and it turned to the highest setting. Another day my husband was painting our living room walls and the display read “GAS” to alert us to the chemical contamination level. The neatest thing is when the system senses the various levels and adjusts the fans to compensate, the front panel will move forwards or backwards, opening and closing; it’s quite cool to see in action. It does not have a single filter, but four—a pet mesh filter (replaceable), a pre-filter, a pet deodorization filter, and a dust collecting filter (replaceable). The instructions state that if you have the air purifier on 24/7 with normal use, you shouldn’t have to replace the mesh filter or dust filter for a whole year. (Of course that could vary depending on different use situations.) There is a filter replacement reminder which will show on the front display when needed. A last great point—this unit is quiet when in operation. Even when the fans are on the highest level, it’s perhaps like a loud whisper. Aesthetically speaking the cube shape and the vent patterns on the front and back make for an understated, stylish and sophisticated look. All in all, an extremely high quality air purifier that not only looks great, but works superbly well.

I have installed this Samsung air purifier in my room which is the master room, it is spacious but does not have good ventilation and sometimes due to weather changes the air does not feel that clean, however with this device I have been pleasantly surprised, it is clear that the product is a relatively high price but I feel that it is worth it because the air purifier performs flawlessly. The design of the air purifier is pretty nice and looks great in my room, the controls are very discreet as well as the indicator lights, the color is cool and it is not a very large device but despite that it surprises in performance. It has a SmartThings app that is simple to use and very helpful, you can choose between 5 modes, if I'm at home I just leave in 'smart' and when sleeping in 'sleep', I have noticed a lot of difference to when I didn't have it, the air feels cleaner, I consider it a very good air purifier. I don't have pets but this air purifier has a mode where it detects air pollution from pets as well, it includes filters that promise to last up to a year but in the end it will depend on usage. The air purifier is actually quite, even more in the sleep mode which definitely does not interrupt your sleep at night. The air purifier is able to measure the air quality and clean the air depending on the situation, also the device notifies you if it detects gas in the air or smoke which I find very convenient. Having an air purifier It could seem not important, but after using a very good air purifier like this Samsung Bespoke Cube Air Purifier, it is difficult not to consider it as important appliance to have at home, highly recommended.

This Samsung BESPOKE Cube Air Purifier does an excellent job of removing dust, particulate contamination, pet dander, and pet fur from the air in a medium-sized room. It also removes some odors. The unit itself is a fairly large cube. I was surprised at how much of its internal volume was occupied by filter media. There are 4 different filters inside the cube, each performing a different function. The front display is a nice touch. It lets you know the concentration of different size particles in your air, and also lets you know the current operating mode and if any of the filters need replacing. The unit is extremely quiet. Depending on the mode selected, the sound ranges from a very gentle "woosh" to essentially silent. The front panel is motorized and moves in or out depending on how much air flow is required. I really like the SmartHome integration. I am already set up with over 40 SmartHome-compatible devices so adding this air purifier was to the mix was a great benefit. The SmartHome app on a mobile phone is able to control all the operating parameters of the air purifier, and the purifier can be integrated into SmartHome routines to automate it's operation. Overall it is a very effective device with a complete set of compelling features.

    Great Air Purification

The Samsung BESPOKE Cube Air Purifier is a nice unit and does a great job at air purification. Following are what I found to be the pros and cons: Pros: - Set up was easy, basically just unpacking and installing filters and it is ready to go. - There are 5 different modes - Smart, High, Wind-Free, Sleep and Pet. I've been using it in Smart mode, as it automatically detects the amount of dust, odors and gas in the air and adjusts to the correct speed to take care of it. When the air is purified to the lowest levels then it goes to the lowest/quietest setting. - It runs very quietly. - It comes with special pet filters, including some extras, and when it is in pet mode it detects the amount of dust, smells and fur in the air and removes them. From my initial observations, this is really helpful in quickly eliminating the smells that come with my pets and also seems to be doing a good job at controlling the hair/fur that flies around from shedding pets. - There is a lock setting to allow you to lock the controls so kids don't accidentally change them. - There is a filter replacement reminder, which sets off an audible alarm to notify you when the filter needs to be replaced. This alarm can be reset. - You can change the number of air outlets between 1 and 3, which could be helpful depending on where you place the purifier and if there are things close to some of the outlets. - There is an LED indicator to let you know what mode the unit is in and to show the quality of the surrounding air. It checks air quality pollution levels as well as gas levels in the air. The air quality level indicator switches every 10 seconds between PM10, PM2.5 and PM1.0, which is the particles of different sizes it detects in the air, so the unit can adjust to clean the different size particles and you can visually see the size of particles it is cleaning. It also detects any gas levels and shows the level 1 - 4 of any gas detected. When particles are detected, you can see the unit go to work and quickly remove them until the indicators get back to showing the lowest levels, so you know the air has been cleaned. - This air purifier can be connected to Wifi and the SmartThings App to control the unit from your phone and the App, as opposed to using the LED settings on the unit. Cons: - The only real con is that this air purifier is somewhat large. It is cube shaped and is 15" wide,17.5" tall, and 16 - 17" deep. (The depth varies depending on what mode it is in, as the front extends a little in the higher modes.) Of course, with an air purifier it also can't sit too close to other items to allow for air to circulate around and through it. So, make sure to measure to ensure you have an area to place it that has enough room. This Samsung BESPOKE Cube Air Purifier does a great job at purifying the air, removing dust particles, fur, gas and smells from the room in which it sits. It is also a quiet, nice looking unit. As long as you have a large enough space to place it in the room you want to purify, I feel it will do a great job performing your air purification.

A Quiet and Thorough Air Purifier

Air purifiers do make a difference for indoor areas. I have pets that shed fur and dander, air allergens are almost a constant and since I live in California, fire season is right around the corner. It’s basically the trifecta of air issues. My recent air filter served me well but it was noisy and troublesome to maintain the filters. I was definitely in the market for a new air purifier and decided to try out the Samsung Air Purifier. Easy Setup: The Samsung is almost ready to go out of the box. You just need to remove the filters from their plastic wrappings, easily insert them and you’re good to go. There are pet mesh filters included if you want your air purifier to take on what our fur babies unload into the air. The pet mesh filter easily clips into place. You can use the touch screen interface on the front panel or for a more in-depth user experience, you can download the Samsung SmartThings app that explains the air readout without the need of consulting the physical manual. Performance: The settings for the Samsung Air Purifier are Smart, High, Sleep, Wind-Free, and Pet. I have to note that even when the purifier was on High, it wasn’t that loud compared to my previous purifier. The Smart mode cleans the air in the room and if it detects that the air is clean then it will go into a ‘hibernation’ status. The Pet setting focuses on removing those ‘fun’ smells that come with a litterbox or the smells that accompany wet dog/cat foods. After using my Samsung Air Purifier for several weeks, I have noticed that there has been a reduction in dust and random fur accumulation compared to when there wasn’t an air purifier. Since there isn’t any wildfire smoke (thankfully) in the area, I cannot speak with authority as to how the Samsung performs. However, judging how it performs with pet dander and orders, it will do its best to clean the air of harmful smoke pollution in the house. Design: Normally, I wouldn’t take note of the design of an air purifier but in this case, I feel that I have to appreciate what Samsung made. The Samsung purifier isn’t garish or awkward when in the room. I suppose you could say it’s a minimalist design while still having a neat front panel that extends when in use. Samsung doesn’t beg to be the center of attention in both design and sound performance. I also like the fact that I will be alerted to when the air might reach problematic quality levels whether it’s through the front display or via the app. Maintenance: I won’t go into the details of what the instruction manual reads when it comes to cleaning the filters but from what I have read, it seems easy and doesn’t require a lot of effort. Just read the instructions thoroughly. After spending a month with this air purifier, I am VERY happy with my Samsung Air Purifier and it would seem that it will have a long future inside my home.

Very Effective In Purifying the Air

Unpacking the Samsung BESPOKE Cube Air Purifier was easy enough, and that was some minor assembly involving the filters and power brick. In total, it took about 5-10 minutes to get it operating. My first thought was that the off/on chimes make this seem like some household device from the 90s. I don't know how else to describe it, but it's easy to get over. Initially I wasn’t certain that the air purifier’s air sensor was accurate, but using my thermostat’s air quality detector and running the air purifier, I found that it is in fact accurate—as the purifier ran, the pollutant levels reported by my thermostat decreased. According to both the air purifier and my thermostat, I now have very clean air! The purifier’s small screen informs you of the current air quality, and the manual explains all this, but I have yet to get a grasp on it other than high numbers are bad, blue or green is good quality, and yellow or red is bad quality. If the room has good air circulation, is relatively small (400 square feet or less), or both, this air purifier works a lot faster. I’ll often turn on a ceiling fan to speed up the purifying process. It does well to clear out the smell of food after it’s cooked, even bacon. I tried the room where we have our cat litter box, however, and it doesn’t seem to do so well to remove the smell that lingers in there, even when I have it on high circulation. I found myself mostly using the smart preset, as it runs the purifier at the proper speed according to the quality of the air. It’s interesting to watch it run at a high speed (you can hear how hard it’s working) and slow down as it actively purifies the air. I do like to use the high preset when cooking. I don't really use the pet, wind-free, or sleep settings. I’m not sure why the package included so many pet filters—one seems fine to me, and I run it almost constantly with a dog that loves to shed along with two cats. It also looks like it could be reused a few times. I get that this thing requires a lot of parts to do a lot of work, but still—it’s rather large. I haven't yet figured out the best place to put it where it doesn't stand out so much. I like its shape and design, but I simply don't know where it can go that it feels out of the way. And it would be nice if it had some handles or carrying shape for easier mobility around the house. It’s nice to know that my family and I are breathing better-quality air thanks to this air purifier, and despite its size, it can run quiet yet effective enough that I don’t even notice it’s there most of the time.
