Adding a trackpad makes a big difference

Went from the Tab S4 with it's keyboard which doesn't have a trackpad at all to this one.
Keys have a good feel and the trackpad is really valuable with apps like Google Docs or MS Office.
Two significant drawbacks. Adding the trackpad plus the Tab S6 smaller size makes the keyboard a bit cramped. You can adjust after a few days, but it remains tight.
The other issue is with the way it attaches to the tablet. While I like that its two pieces with a back with kickstand and then a separate keyboard. The problem is that the back cover attaches with an adhesive strip. Once it's been on the device for more than a couple of days, it's almost impossible to remove without damaging it.

I like this cover, it allows me to use my Tab as a laptop in DEX mode and the gestures work perfectly. My only issue with it is the suction adhesive it uses to attach to the rear of the tablet as well as the lack of magnets to secure to the front.
This product would be way more sturdy if they used magnets. Mine started coming off recently after 4 months of ownership, but I was able to get it back on and the seal seems solid. If it were magnets, I don't think I'd be having this issue.
The front cover slides and doesn't really stay covering the entire screen due to the lack of magnets also. This is my only gripe.

Great Cover with 1 flaw

I really like this cover. It is sleek, lightweight, and works flawlessly with my Galaxy Tab S6. I really love the hinged kickstand. It does however have 1 flaw, in my opinion. Though the key board is a wonderfull add on. There are many times I use my tablet without the keyboard. The problem is if I do not keep the keyboard atrached I have no protection for my screen. If thier was a screen cover that could fold back and attach to the back cover (via magnet or something) exposing the keyboard connection so you could attach the keyboard cover that would, I believe solve the problem of not having screen protection when I choose not to take my keyboard.

Let me start with saying that prior to this purchase, I've seen plenty of negative reviews regarding this product. The reviews I've seen stated that this was 'a good product but does not stay on the tablet'. I can see how this could be a possibilty if applied incorrectly. After thoroughly cleaning the back of the tablet then applying this product, I have not run into any issues.
Now the actual review. In my opinion, this product is a requirement for this tablet. The tablet itself is a great device but adding this keyboard put it in a completely different category. If, like me, you do alot of work that involves a need for a laptop or desktop, then this combination will make a possible replacement. Working in an office, I am always answering e-mails and utilizing MS Office applications. The tablet itself works perfectly fine to run the needs but this keyboard makes execution so much easier. I wouldn't say this tablet/keyboard combination is a permanent replacement for what I use in the office but when I'm out of the office and still working, I've noticed that I've been leaving my laptop behind and have been bringing this along. With this lightweight, powerhouse combination, it's a simple decision to bring this with me anywhere I go.

OK Keyboard for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6

I had purchased a Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 to replace a older Tab S2 which was nearing end of life. The Tab S2 as well as a newer Tab S4 I own both have keyboards which, IMO, have added to the functionality of the tablets. Particularly in the case of the Tab S4 which has DEX mode. Naturally when I purchased the Tab S6 -- I wanted a keyboard to go with the device. The design issues and the high price of the Samsung keyboard kept me from purchasing it right away, however. Even still, in the month I spent looking for an alternative aftermarket keyboard -- I could not find anything which really came close to what the Samsung product offered. So when the price went down on Best Buy's website -- I took the plunge.
If you search around the Internet regarding this keyboard there is an issue with the back piece suddenly detaching itself from the tablet. In part, the aforementioned is due to the sub par design of the back piece and Samsung's vague instructions as to its use. First, it is very important that the back of the tablet is clean before the back piece is attached. Second, the back piece, once attached to the keyboard becomes non removable and is intended as such by Samsung. I think the problems start happening when customers repeatedly remove the back piece or don't initially clean the back of the tablet when first attaching it.
That being said, the keyboard itself is a very nice addition to the tablet. Although, I do prefer the Tab S4 Samsung Keyboard design over the the S6 -- the kickstand features and the track pad of the S6 give it more flexibility. As well, the S6 keyboard has auto sleep/wake capabilities whereas the S4 does not. In terms of use -- the keyboard gives the Tab S6 almost laptop like capabilities particularly in DEX mode.
Overall, I give the Samsung Book Cover Keyboard for the Tab S6 a hesitant recommendation.

This is probably the best keyboard you can get for the Tab S6 but for the price I wish it was at least back lit and the keyboard magnet could secure to the front a little more tightly. It does feel a little smushed but you get used to it slowly. The back part of it is a weird suction/adhesive combo and wish they went with the more secure magnets. For now I have not had any issues with the back cover falling off randomly on its own. Overall I am happy with this.

I read and watched a ton of reviews in this thing before buying it. I think the issue people are having is because they remove it. To me this is a install and leave it kind of stand. Because it sticks on the back (not with magnets) once you remove it the sticky part looses some of its grip. If you keep doing this it simply won't stay on anymore. I cleaned my device stuck it on and waited to use it like the directions say and it's on there so good it would never just fall off. If you want something that you can take on and off don't get this. I have no issues leavening it on because it's so slim. The look and functionality is awesome. The keyboard is perfect and attached and detaches super easy. If you can find it on sale i would say get it.

This is an awesome keyboard/smartcover case. Just not for left-handed people. When I type, my wrist touches the trackpad and sometimes it moves the cursor when I don't want it to. I'm also not a huge fan of the idea of using an adhesive on the back of the case rather than a traditional snap type case. Other than those minor things, I love how easy it makes typing on the tablet.

I'm not using the back cover that has to be stuck on, I found a far less expensive one that has enough magnets and folds around to prop up the tablet leaving enough space for the tablet, less bulky and lighter.
The keyboard is good but not great. The problem is I tried a Logitech K400+ using the USB (I can still use a powered port or the pogo dock to recharge). It has a much more useful layout and keys, including the three back/home/apps for F1,2,3. It doesn't have a DeX key though.
The Samsung keyboard has a search key I won't use, as well as the Lang key. They do have a Fn-Escape (instead of control-[ which I have to do on many other keyboards). The arrangement of keys is good and I can touch type. There are far more magnets clamping it to the 4 pin bottom connector securely than elsewhere. The Touchpad can be toggled with Fn-Spacebar which is useful when typing.
Even on sale it is very expensive. But it is the right size and shape to go with the tablet (I wish Logitech had a keyboard only version of the K400+, or that there was a bluetooth tablet keyboard with the same layout). But for productivity, some keyboard is a must and this is the best one to use with the S6, at least if you aren't docking it fully.

This book cover is good because it fits the tablet and has a space to store the pen but it comes in 2 separate pieces that are magnetic and easily come apart leaving the tablet open to fall and crack. Although I love the keyboard option of it, it seems to always be on and get in the way sometimes.

I used points and giftcards on this purchase but still feel it is over priced. With that said, adding this keyboard and tracking pad and using DeX changes the tablet to be more of a productivity device and it works great.
With this case on my tablet replaces my surface for even most Microsoft applications.

Love having a keyboard that attaches to my tablet. My only gripe would be unless you use it on table or desk the tablet doesn't have enough support to stand up.
Easy to attach. It has magnets that attract the pieces together. Comes apart easily for when you want to use the tablet by itself.

This keyboard serves as the tablet cover and a functional keyboard. I like it a lot. I dropped tablet on parking lot. The keyboard was un-phased EXCEPT one key came off. I had purchased the low priced insurance, so it was replaced without question. The tablet edge was slightly scratched and there was a small crack on the surface of the screen essentially confined to about 3" along one bevel that has no effect on functionality. I am not saying this is a highly protective cover, but it did help. But this is good enough that this is all I take when I travel and leave my laptop at home. The back cover holds the stylus in place magnetically and protects the back. It has a solid (Good quality) fold-out stand for using the keyboard, or just to read in landscape. The keyboard is magnetically attached so it can be removed to just use the tablet.

I was a little worried about making this purchase. Mostly because of the price, but also the reviews on this item. I saw a lot of "case adhesive doesnt hold", but it's been working fantastic for me. So long as you follow the instructions that come with the item on how to apply the adhesive portion of the case you'll be fine.
The keyboard takes a little while to get used to. I've been practicing typing for a while now and can reach roughly 40 wpm. The keys have a satisfyinging click when pressed. When typing my had does brush over the track pad and activates the mouse which for some reason doesnt allow me to continue typing. I have to click back on the line and continue. I've only had this issue when typing on a website using the browser. I havent tested it on the actual applicatiosn for the device.
Although the case doesnt offer much protection, it definitely give the tablet a laptop feel to it. All in all a great buy

I was really skeptic about getting this keybord for my tablet at first because of the reviews that it had recieved, mainly because most of them were really negative on the stand and the trackpad alone. Well I have to say that I've had this keyboard for two now and just started using it and it hasn't given me any problems so far. I think the reason why this keyboard reciecved so many negative reviews on the stand not staying up is because some didn't follow the directions that came along with it. You have to make sure that you clean the back of your tablet before applying the back part of the back and let it set for the hour. I let mines set for a day just to be sure and besides I wasn't in any hurry to use my tablet rght away becasue I still had my laptop to use. The stand works perfect for me and hasn't collapse on me yet while I was typing this review from my bed lol. The only small downside to this keyboard is the extra weight that it adds to the tablet, makes it extremly heavy now but that's a small downside to which I can get over. Did I mention that I was able to get it on sale for $111.99 which was a really good deal on top of have $10.00 certificates as well which made it really affordable for me. I'm really happy that I waited for it to go on sale and made the right decision on making this purchase for my awesome tablet, the keyboard makes the experience so much better. It feels like I'm typing from my laptop.

Finally a cover that I can position the way I want...and it STAYS where I want! This may seem expensive, but it is so very worth it. The majority of us either sit or lay in bed while using our tablets, which means it's hard to position them on a steady surface at juuust the right angle. This Book Cover with Keyboard solves that problem instantly! I know what you're saying, "I don't need a keyboard". It's STILL worth the money!!!
Just get it...you deserve it!

I like the way it holds the pen in place and the keyboard is great for me. The problem is with the way the stand is connected with a flimsy sticky foam. I'm thinking of using two little drops of superglue on each end to hold it in place.

This is a great keyboard for the Galaxy Tab S6 tablet, and works beautifully with the tablet, as expected since it is Samsung. I did put something heavy on top of the tablet after applying the adhesive and let it sit for a while, then had no issues at all with it staying on. I had heard so many negative reviews about that, but it worked fine for me. On the flipside, the tablet nearly doubles in weight while using it, and it is just too darn pricey, IMHO. If you can afford it, and don't mind the extra weight, it is a must have accessory for the tablet if you plan on doing a lot of typing with it.

Bought this for my tablet because it is just faster to type on a keyboard, Plus the flap for the pen is really handy, I have no concerns about losing it and it is really easy to get to.
The kickstand in the back is sturdy and holds up the tablet quite well.
It's a bit pricy, but I bought it with the tablet so it was discounted and worth the extra money
So far, I really like it

I was able to get this on sale for around $120, which I still feel is rather expensive for what it is. Full price is $180 which is insane! But, it is a very sturdy build. The keys and track pad are very responsive. I have not had any real issues with it over the first 3+ weeks of owning it, with moderate usage. If I had to complain about anything other than the price, I would say the track pad is almost too sensitive which can be annoying when trying to click on something small. When you try to click the track pad down the slight movement your finger makes moves the arrow off the small icon or whatever it is your trying to click on. Then again, the S6 is a tablet and comes with the s-pen so just click the screen and all is good.
