Received Broken Product which was not replaced

I took it home and low and behold it was broken. A crack on the lcd screen. My biggest mistake was to touch the screen to inspect it. Took it back immediately the next day and they refused to take it back saying the screen has been touched and we cannot replace. Quoting the sales person "We are not really obliged to do anything but we can give you a 10% discount if you buy another monitor". Needless to say I walked out, left the monitor there and will not be buying anything from best buy again. Tried reaching out to customer care but all they did was put me on long holds trying to connect me to regional manager.

The instructions that come with it are too vague and don’t assist in any real problem solving. It may be that I have a defective model. A return and second is in order.
