    great, when it worked. began having display issues around a year after purchase that turning off and back on seemed to fix. now, almost 2 years later, doesn't display anything other than lines like a couple other reviewers have posted pictures. seems to be an issue with this monitor. hopefully, they have fixed it in newer versions. good luck.

      If our Customer Support agent determines that service is required, the below is our flat-rate service fee for out-of-warranty 49” monitors. The below does not cover the cost of shipping your monitor to us but does cover the cost of shipping the monitor back to you. You are responsible for shipping fees to Samsung Customer Service; we recommend using a trackable shipping service like UPS.

    Terrible Monitor

    I bought this monitor at BestBuy. In less than three weeks it began so display horizontal lines. It got worse everyday and now it is not useable. I tried to exchange it but missed the BestBuy return (15 days) by two days. Tried to get exchange from SAMSUNG but was told that warranty does not cover cracked monitor. This monitor is heavy and sits on a stand. There are no surface scratches, let alone a crack. It simply quit working barely two weeks ! SAMSUNG cannot stand behind this lemon. Please don't waste you money.

    Monitor was great for one day

    I read a bunch of reviews about this monitor and they were mostly good reviews but there were an usually large number of similar complaints about the monitor having glitches with the monitor not turning on or having greys screens. I took the chance and purchased the monitor because I really like Samsung products. I received the monitor and it worked great the first day. The second day having it, it had those glitches I read about. I would pull the plug from the wall and wait 30 seconds. That was the only way to fix it. It progressively got worse over a couple days then just returned it. I tried updating the firmware and it still had issues. The damage may have been from the shipping from ups but ill never know. Best buy didn't have a replacement in stock anywhere so I bought the asus 49 inch and have been very happy with that.

    Sorry to report that you need to be cautious of this item :(. I have had this monitor in the same position for months, had not moved it, and it worked fine. As soon as I moved the monitor, not the base but just swivel to open up more space on my desk. It formed a horizontal line across the screen. I think there is too much tension in the joint that allows it swivel or the screen is simply too sensitive. Now I am left with the hassle of trying to see what can be done about it or live with this horizontal line. Be careful with this series!!!! Buyer beware.

    The stand sticks out way to far for a wired mouse

    Everything about this monitor is awesome except the stand that sticks out way to far in front of it for a wired mouse. I have a huge desk and it's needed for this monitor and I knew that when I got it. However the stand sits way far out beyond the monitor and when I am gaming my mouse cord gets hung up on it all the time. If Samsung made a stand in a w shape or at least make the stand a lot shorter at the end with a proper bevel at the end my mouse would not have such an issue with the cord getting caught on it constantly making my aim crap in FPS games that I bought it for.

    I would have loved to give this a five star review, but unfortunately it was dead on arrival. After some research , I found that this is a fairly common issue with Samsung 49 in monitors.

    Avoid. Life of Monitor is way to short.

    I purchased 9 of these monitors. I have had them for less than 3 years and the screens on 4 of them have already started to go bad. When they first come on they are unusable after about 10 minutes the screens finally clear up and they are fine until you let quit using them for a couple hours and then it is back to the waiting game hoping they start working again.

    The monitor was working great for about 6 months then the issues began, first it would display lines across the screen, then the ports in the back stopped working one at a time, starting with the display then the mini display, the monitor would get insanely hot around the edges and eventually started damaging the pixels from the heat losing color around the sides.

    Mini Display port not working

    I am so disappointed I got this monitor last month December 2020, today I was hooking the Macbook pro to the Mini Display port from the monitor to HDMI on laptop. I even went and got a new cable at best, I have return it I was so excited in having this monitor. Disappointed at samsung!!!!

    Absolutely NOT compatible to MAC

    If you own a MAC this is not for you. It makes everything twice bigger almost like enlarge loop, I spend an hour with Samsung and after going through all menus options and reset etc she said, some options in the menu that make it fit to screen won't get highlighted and this is because you have a MAC. This is for PC and window base game ONLY.

    I was never able to get it set up. I had an executive IT person try for over 4 hours so I don’t think it was just user error. They ended up just sending me two monitors from work instead. Im returning this as soon as isolation order is over. Maybe it wasn’t right for my use but the BB sales associate I spoke with recommended it when I told her what I needed.

    Already getting dead pixles loved the monitor but this is a shame
