I have had some technical issues when splitting the screen and trying to use it as two screens. But it has been great as a single screen. In general, the split screen with Mac is also not working as smoothly. On Windows, you can set your outlook in the middle of the screen (Half in one screen, and the other half in the other). However, on Mac, your application can be visible in one or the other. Not both.

Ive heard online that its normal and its just a quick fix by turning it off and on. That worked temporarily, but over time it just got worse. I am currently at the point to where I need to turn on the monitor a few days before wanting to use it. What kind of schedule does one need to plan that.

Nice but disappointing

First time thankfully still under warranty and samsung sent someone to fix the board in it and now it went out again so I cannot use the DP and have to use HDMI. Would not buy another one

I had this version, and the clarity just wasn't there. I upgraded to the 2k resolution screen, and it was worth every penny. Good luck folks. Productivity reigns on these monitors. You'll wonder why you didn't do this sooner.

Samsung will send a tech to replace the motherboard in the monitor, but you will still have an issue after the replacement board. This will take a long delay and cause you long inconvenience you. This is a known issue with this monitor. I have confirmed this with a simple google search. Samsung is still selling this monitor with this known issue. I am still fighting for my replacement monitor. Tech support is not knowledgeable at all and difficult to communicate to.

Thank you for purchasing the Samsung C49HG90 Gaming Monitor. I am very sorry to hear that you experienced difficulties with your display.
The following could help to solve the issue of the monitor having difficulty coming out of sleep mode.
1. Check if your Graphics Card has any updates available. If updates are available, install them. If you require help installing your graphics card updates, please contact your graphics card manufacturer.
2. Perform a Windows Update. To visit Microsoft's online update page, and then follow all on-screen prompts.
3. Install the available software for your monitor with below steps.
- Be sure to insert the USB disk into the USB 1 port. You can upgrade the software via USB only if either the monitor screen operates normally or the check signal is displayed on the monitor screen.
When the screen as shown in the following figure is displayed, press and hold the Down arrow key for 5 seconds.
- When the message as shown in the following figure is displayed on the monitor, select Yes to upgrade the software.
- When the screen as shown in the following figure is displayed, select Yes.
- The software upgrading proceeds
4. This issue may be caused by your signal cable. Try using a different cable to verify if your cable is defective.

DO NOT BUY - Has Known Issues

As many reported it has horrible issues with warming up leaving you with horizontal/vertical lines. I purchased insurance on it and thats even useless after 2 years because the quote to fix it is worth $400-500 of this monitor. I would never buy another samsung PC monitor again.
