    my galaxy S7 plus never seems to recognize it, i have to remove and insert again for it to show that a card is inserted. I barely use it for that reason

    I was able to expand the storage in my phone. It helps since I still download music files. This card works well. I just wish Samsung Music would save and transfer playlists between cards.

    ERROR MESSAGES WITH CARD

    I just bought a Garmin 47 Dash Cam and put this Samsung 512Gb card into the camera. I followed directions and formatted the card using Garmin's app. Garmin recommends at least a class 10 card which this card surpasses. After only a hour of use, I get an error saying "card speed is slowing down". I reformatted and get same error. 16 GB that came with Dash Cam had No issues. This is my experience with the card.

    I think the card it Is only 477 gb because cannot access 35 GB of storage.

      Hi Review,

      Thank you for purchasing the Samsung EVO Plus memory card. Samsung drives and memory cards adhere to the IDEMA standard of advanced formatting, which will result in the card appearing as slightly less than the listed size. This is a common industry-wide standard.

      The amount of space that appears to be "missing" is in fact used by the drive/card for storing firmware, metadata and spare blocks. Your operating system (Windows, Linux, etc.) will also affect the usable space -- different operating systems will use different amounts of space to store their metadata. Consequently, formatted space will always be less than unformatted space.

      You can look IDEMA up online for more technical details about this standard, which is established by The International Disk Drive Equipment and Materials Association.

    Worked for the first couple months for my switch oled when i got it. not even three months after all the saved on the card is now gone due it being a faulty chip.

    Product was DEAD ON ARRIVAL. Do not purchase this product unless you want to risk return/replacement issues. Other similar products work with my system, but not this one.

    Garbage, corrupted unreadable after 2 weeks! Worked fine in mobile phone, tablet and laptop at first. After 2 weeks the card became unreadable!

    Great for Home security Solutions

    have a home security camera that performs both local storage with Remote access and the ability to upload to the cloud. Because of this remote-access configuration, I typically chose not to use cloud backups, which can easily add up to my annual costs. I had a 64 GB card installed and it would get overwritten in a couple of days, and necessity caused me to buy this card. Works great, and now I can have peace of mind, knowing that my 4K recordings will be stored for > 14 days. I also tried the card on my 4K dash camera, before I moved it to the home security storage. This is a great device, with no loss / delay in storage time, either in my dash camera or my home security system. Overall I am very happy with my purchase.
