Love this refrigerator so far. It’s sleek appealing and received so many great compliments in my kitchen. I love the ability to view inside it, I can make a shopping list, leave notes, listen to music, watch tv and so much more. The option to turn one door compartment into a freezer is awesome! Bixby is awesome.. I have an iOS device so it’s compatibility worked well for me even though the fridge is a Samsung. Quiet ice flow, nice stream for filtered water. You will love this talking piece in your kitchen :)

The Samsung Family Hub refrigerator was exactly as advertised. The simple instructions to get started was "computer illiterate proof" just make sure you activate the internet button on it and you'll be sailing right along. I love listening to my music station and the ability to watch my programs while in the kitchen. There's even a screen that shows where to place your items on the inside of the compartments. The bottom right door aka the Flex area temperature can be changed based on what you have like wines, cheese veggies etc! I consider this refrigerator to be a cool kitchen toy for the adults and to me well worth "The Black Friday" price!

When we splurged on this expensive refrigerator, we assumed it would last us 10+ years. Unfortunately we started having problems within two years with our ice maker. It would often clog and start to freeze over. Eventually it stopped working completely. After dealing with customer service for 6 months, we finally got a repair person in to fix it. We tried to be understanding since we were in the middle of a pandemic and figured their normal customer service must be better. Wrong. 10 months later the ice maker has broken again and now continuously drips water (see picture). It's more of a slush machine than an ice maker. When we called customer service again, we got the usual run around but finally were connected with a manager after a week of calls. Turns out Samsung only only gave us a 90-day warranty on the repaired ice maker (our extended warranty expired two weeks ago of course). Previous to purchasing this Samsung we had a simple Whirlpool for over 10 years without incident. Based on this experience, I will never buy a Samsung product again. By far the worst customer service I've ever experienced. Save yourself the money and go with different brand.

We have had the refrigerator for approximately one month and so far are very happy with it. Although it is approximately the same size in square feet as our previous refrigerator/freezer, it seems much more spacious inside and holds a lot more. Transition from side by side to French door design is wonderful, much easier access. Love the French door design on freezer as well, much easier to access and organize than drawer freezer. All drawers and shelves in lower unit slide out for easy access. LED lighting is also nice. We are also enjoying Family Hub - displays our family schedule from google calendar right on front of refrigerator, as well as grocery list, which can also be accessed from smart phone or computer - easy to input needed items while you are in the kitchen and notice they are low in supply. My wife loves "All Recipes" link which displays her recipes in beautiful and easy to access form on front of refrigerator. Of course you can see the inside of the refrigerator from screen on door or from smart phone, cool but not of much use for us. You can also identify items in your refrigerator on screen, label and add expiration date - this works fine on refrigerator but not working well with phone. Displays a nice slide show on screen saver from photos that you can download from smart phone, will stream music from internet to include streaming on Bluetooth - will sync with some models of Samsung televisions to play on screen. Some of the features are not syncing well with smart phone and some are more trouble than worth for me, however love the calendar, shopping list, All Recipes, and slide shows. Love controls for refrigerator/freezer on door screen and can be monitored on smart phone, nice door open alarm. Does other things if you have the time, but we have three boys and work so time is precious. Overall wonderful refrigerator, a little costly, but my wife loves it. Purchased 5 year full warranty due to electronics.

Amazing fridge with so many features. At first I though that it was all just gimmick stuff, but it is extremely useful. My wife is constantly on Pinterest finding recipes to experiment with, we us it as a radio for the kitchen utilizing pandora, I use it to mirror our tv whenever someone is at a bad viewing angle, connected it to our phone to see what we need while shopping. Can’t even think of going to a fridge without all these features now

I love French doors but my wife hates pull out drawer freezers. She hates that it’s difficult to organize items and eventually the freezer becomes a pit of forgotten frost bitten persevitives. This fridge became the great compromise for us. I get my French doors and she gets a easy to use and organized freezer. Family hub is great and really growing on me. Kind of a gimmick but it’s functional and does what it promises.

Overall this fridge cools very well and fast. It is also very nice looking. But that's about all I can say. It did not want to connect to my network upon getting it home. It wanted to connect to my bridged modem instead of my router. I finally unplugged my network and restarted to get it to see my network. The software was very difficult to set up and connecting to my phone took 2 hours. Once I got it working the only thing good about the interface was the shopping list. I have had this unit about 1.5 months and have already had problems with the ice maker. It stopped working and I had to reset it. When it does work it does not keep up with average use, I run out of ice all the time. The last software update prevents you from choosing your desired temp settings, you can only use their preset settings. Really!! It will not allow you to open a html link from your calendar for anything. I use it for meal planning and I put the url links in notes in the calendar, the links become non functioning. I cannot recommend this fridge. All in all I regret buying this thing. I have used Samsung products for years and find this fridge very disappointing. The only reason I am giving one star is because it is very quite and it cools well.

So this is change from side by side stainless fridge. Much more space and LOVE the adaption of 1:4 to fridge instead of freezer. Stainless is less painful than previous -- no long water streaks but some fingerprints. Again storage space is great but little stand up room for large items. Actually less of an issue than I would have thought. Wine rank is awesome but need screw on wine bottles because we can't find a cap that won't leak. Biggest irritation is the ice maker. I found another review on line that called it an ice N*z* (like soup Na*i from Seinfeld). We identify. Maybe 6 glasses of ice in 6 hour time frame. Lastly is the connectivity part. We are apple...it is not. That might make a difference. It seems like it needs work...the shopping list works sometimes, the "inside of fridge" shows minimal fridge. But it is different and a little fun. Hopeful it will work better with remote devices in future. Overall we like it and would buy again -- with the portable ice machine we have purchased!

Camera's a great feature, just wish they have cameras on vegetables section as well. Previous review was right about measuring the height (it's a bit tall) make sure you double check the space that you have. We're satisfied for now.

Really my only two gripes with this fridge is mainly with it's integration with other devices and with Samsungs customer service. Customer Service: I had to call over 8 times to get one thing resolved, which I ended up fixing on my own by doing research. Each time I called, I got transferred a minimum of 5 times, sometimes back to the same dept that just transferred me. Each of them saying "that's this depts issue." App integration: Fridge is supposed to be able to work with ring pro. Which... it does. However it doesn't stay logged in longer then a few minutes. What's the purpose of having that if everyone I want to look at who's at my door I have to waste 5 minutes logging in (because it is actually that slow)... Should be integrated so that it stays logged in and there's an alert when someones at door giving you the option to view the video feed.

Loved the look of the fridge and the gadgets. Wanted side by side fridge and not huge freezer drawers. Liked that you could user the lower right as a fridge if needed. Had issues with the ice maker from the get go. However, there is a fix so be sure to a contact geek squad if ice maker is not working. Also does not seem to be as deep inside as our other 25 cubit fidge. For example a large pizza box would not fit inside whereas it would in our other fridge.

This is a beautiful refrigerator with a computer built in that is nice for looking up recipes on line or listening to music while your are cooking. We bought the counter depth to replace our previous refrigerator. It is mainly a gimmick and not much larger than our old one. (Of course, in the store it looks larger because there is no food inside!) We are returning it due to the price of almost $4000. Didn't feel it was worth the money.

    Family Hub is a Dud

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Family Hub is a dud guys. Better run the other way. I got off the phone with Samsung last night completely exasperated. Owning this refrigerator has been a nightmare, to say the least. It's very photogenic but buyers beware. It is a very low-quality product wearing a pretty dress. After owning it for may be 5 months, the ice maker failed. We barely used it!. They replaced the entire fridge. Now, about 10 months later, the entire refrigerator failed spectacularly. The compressor in this new refrigerator failed. Do you guys think that this is how any product, let alone a high-end product, should perform? The freezer spontaneously defrosted and the refrigerator itself was like a warm day in Ft. Lauderdale. Funny enough, the thermostat display was all this time showing the internal temperatures at 0 degrees and 37 degrees respectively. So much for "Triple Cooling." What do you guys think about having a doctored thermostat in a refrigerator? Reminds me of that Audi scandal. Is this ethical? In any case, we called Samsung's "Elite" service line that they make available to buyers of this product. Their indifference to the situation was stunning and not once did anyone even bother to call us back. Last night after the technician they finally sent over left without being able to fix the fridge (9 days after the incident). I called the "elite" service line again. Their answers to some well-placed questions was telling. I asked, "What is the maximum amount of time, given that this refrigerator is under warranty, that Samsung will allow a customer in my situation to go without a refrigerator?" The supervisor, seemed unable or unwilling to answer the question. Finally, after I repeated the question several times, she let it slip that there was no maximum. Wow! I then asked her, "How was this elite service different from the service they offer for other products? She said it is the products that are elite, not the service. LOL! Well, I beg to differ (about the products, I mean :-)). So, guys, I know this note is long but is Family Hub actually Family Dud? Should you run the other way and buy instead any other standard refrigerator from any other brand? You are sure to end up more satisfied. It's day 10 now without a refrigerator. I will be following up with daily posts on their progress here as an experiment, so you guys can be the judge.
