Great Fridge, How-to with iOS
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We've had this fridge for a few months now. The fridge is GREAT! Freezer can hold 5 frozen pizzas in zone above the two drawers. Box of toaster pastries fits on door. Flex area keeps veggies from freezing but not going bad too quick (wine and cheese setting.) We find that our food stays fresher longer, and doesn't freeze unintentionally, in the upper portion as well. HOWEVER, we've had issues with the tablet portion. We keep loosing the connection to our WiFi. We get about 5 MBPS where we live (slowish.) So it keeps disconnecting and not displaying the weather or the updated calendar. Also then can't view the interior from the store, as it's lost connection. But this could be our wifi. Display of family photos is great, load your pix on a small USB and keep it plugged in. Bluetooth to external speaker works great. We got a big discount overall, so didn't pay much more for the tablet vs plain fridge, so I feel overall it is worth it. HOW TO MAKE IT WORK WITH APPLE iOS: it doesn't work with the native iOS calendars, but you can make it work via gmail accounts. (1) set up a gmail account for each color you want to display. We did 3: Mom, Dad, and kids. (2) if you want to still use iOS Calendar app: use the iOS Settings / Calendar / Account / Add Account to add each of the gmail accounts to your phone, but check the box just right so that it ONLY does calendars, not email and such. (3) When you make an event in your phone, be sure to change the "calendar" to the target gmail (it will appear in the list, just like your other calendars do.) (4) use the web browser version of Google mail to change the default colors if desired. Whatever you pick online shows up on your iOS device as well. (5) repeat this process for your spouse. I ended up using the Google Calendar app instead, and found that I like it much better than iOS calendar, and I've always been very apple-centric. But my hubby still uses the iOS Cal. Super glad we got this fridge overall.

Great Fridge, bad service
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.This review is more about BB geek squad service rather than the fridge it self. 1st, let me just say a few things about the fridge. the fridge is awesome! we really love this fridge. my wife uses the build in Pandora app a lot. When I purchased this fridge a few months ago BB was offering free Geek squad white glove service installation with purchase. 1st, I had to wait 3 weeks for geek squad to come and set up the fridge because their appointment windows are terrible (8-12pm or 12pm to 4 as if people aren't during those hours) so I waited 3 weeks for a Saturday appointment. finally when the agent arrived he was actually very good, had no issues with him whatsoever. He actually knew what he was talking about. had some issues setting everything up and he spent a lot of time on the phone with Samsung trying to figure out what the issues were. it was finally determined that the panel was not working properly. So Samsung decided to ship a new panel to best buy for it to be swapped out. Samsung stated the part would be shipped over night, however, I had to wait another 4 weeks for someone to return to swap it out due to BB's horrible schedule. I don't know who they sent but the guy had no clue on how to set up the fridge. I actually had to do everything myself. I remembered everything the 1st agent did and simply repeated the process. after everything 1 issue still remained which this gentleman had no clue how to fix which also leads me to believe that it is not an issue with the panel but rather no one from best buy actually knows how to setup. if you're going to provide "white glove" service customers who spend a decent amount of money on high end products, please train your agents to know them inside out. The only reason I am not making a huge deal about it is because the service was included and I did not purchase it. Had I purchased the white glove service and this was happening, it would be a whole different story. So to anyone who is looking to purchase this fridge, just do your own research on how to set up the fridge and NOT pay for "white glove" service from BB.

Great Fridge, Geek Squad Concierge is a joke

The technology on the fridge is somewhat clunky but does run a great calendar. The stickyboard app is good. The White Glove Concierge setup is somewhat of a joke, even will argue with you on delivery dates, arrangements, etc.

Very Poor Product

Recently, the refrigerator will randomly turn off. It is not the breaker or the outlet since they have been replaced. Do not buy this product. Looks nice but too many headaches.

DON'T DO IT

My refrigerator and dish washer have had to be serviced after just 3 years of owning, so buy the extended warranty if you want to gamble with getting Samsung appliances. Customer service is mediocre at best, I was told I would be contacted in 2 days and I instead had to call back 3 times before they contacted me again. I was told I cancelled by service ticket the day after I called, which was incorrect and ignorant. I was also never offered help or asked my issue I was given a price. All while my refrigerator is not keeping temperature so for the past week I have had to live off take out or frozen food. Don't waste your money or time.

Ice make is terrible!
