    Bad Ice Maker Unit and Horrible Geek Squad Protect

    The samsung refrigerators are apparently notorious for having a bad design in the ice maker. it constantly freezes over and the ice has to be chipped away. The worse part is the Geek Squad protection that you pay for. I have had this serviced 2 times now and the experience is bad. They are supposed to send you the parts needed to replace / repair the unit. You get a call on the day they are supposed to show up saying they cannot come out as the parts have not been delivered. Horrible experience and waste of days taken off of work to be home. SHAME ON BEST BUY GEEK SQUAD

    My icemaker has been plagued with issues, which required at least three service calls during the warranty period. None of the Samsung fixes corrected the problem with the icemaker becoming an iceburg. I have contacted Samsung several times attempting to get them to correct the issue, now to be told its beyond the warranty period and offering to fix it for almost $500. Not only is that a steep price, but what assurance can I assume that will actually fix it at this point?

    I’m not sure how this refrigerator has so many good reviews. I was warned not to buy this fridge because the ice maker always freezes up and does not work. That is the truth that’s what I get for not listening. Anytime I find out someone that has the fridge they say the same thing that it is the worst. I bought it because of the four doors which I love. I bought all the Samsung appliances to match the refrigerator, dishwasher, microwave and stove. I spent a lot of money and wish I still had my old ones that were 15+ years old. They we’re still working great. I haven’t even had these appliances for 1 yr and the dishwasher and fridge are the worst products. The refrigerators ice machine which I was told had been upgraded from the past models and worked better then before was not the truth. My dishwasher I have to restart anywhere from 1-5 times for it to work. I would seriously consider not buying Samsung. I really hope this helps someone to make a better purchase.

    Cool fridge but nothing works right

    Staying connected to internet spotty at best but I will say with the last update now it will stay connected but I can’t access it through the app. Before update no problem with that! Biggest upset is the simplest... the ice maker! I wish I would’ve read reviews sooner. They can’t fix it and now they are putting it on my dime. SAMSUNG told me “sorry you are out of warranty”. The fridge is just over a year old and they have already been out to try and fix it! STAY AWAY FROM THIS FRIDGE!!!!

    A Must Appliance

    I wasn't a fan of the idea of a family hub fridge but not anymore. The simplicity and functionality of this appliance on hands or on the palm of your hand has made life so much easier. Bixby is amazing as well and pretty advanced.

    Ice maker stops making ice. The process of getting it serviced the 1st time was a total nightmare + I have the total tech. After first no show from repair service, 2nd attempt, they replaced ice maker. Two months later that one has stopped making ice. 3rd service call scheduled. It appears I am in for a long frustrating and time consuming battle over this faulty fridge. How many times will ice maker have to be replaced before Samsung and Best Buy will make this right??? Never buying Samsung again.

    Worst fridge on the market!

    This is the worst refrigerator I have owned. The internet keeps disconnecting on it, the ice maker keeps breaking, I have to constantly reset the entire system in hopes to get it working properly. Don’t waste your money!

    This refrigerator is one of the worst purchases I have ever made. Ice maker does not work, This is an ongoing issue with most Samsung refrigerators and Samsung has made an active decision not to be responsible for this.

    Freezer stop working

    The freezer failed after 12 months. System detected high temp on freezer @ 54 Degrees F. Also ice maker keeps developing frost and ice forming on the tray. A technician came over and confirm compressor failure. Also, I have to pay for a redesigned ice making kit to prevent the ice maker from forming frost preventing the ice maker from making ice. The compressor is covered under warranty but I have to pay for the redesigned ice making kit costing me a total of $438.00 including labor.

    Very cheap stainless thin steel

    Do not buy this product the stainless steel is extremely cheap even a broomstick will cause a major dent in it extremely fragile stainless i have never seen anything so cheap on modern namebrand appliances but then again the once good brand samsung has turned into a very cheap low quality brand even their tvs are complete junk nowadays
