this is so convenient and easy to use. just set phone on top of flatten device. a bit harder to set in the fold up stand. but no more plugging in the phone connection and worry about damage when it is pulled out.
the combo device is a bit pricey - and I am not sure why one needs the stand- but I love the convenience. the device is a bit big for travel- works better to just sit on one place.
but the ease of just setting the phone on the charger is great.
even works with an otter box defender on my phone- no need to remove for charging.

Finally a solution to the ridiculous elimination of the headphone jack from phones. I'm talking to you Moto X!
Charges the Moto at a normal rate. Do not expect anything besides a Samsung to "fast charge" yet. But it definitely charges.
Now the genius part - if you travel anywhere, GET THIS NOW.
No more deciding whether you finish the movie or order an Uber when you land. You can now charge the phone, watch a movie and prop your phone on the handy cradle. A win-win.
(If you think you can get a USB C / 3.5mm splitter to work instead, have fun with that.)
Pics show a Moto Mod back since there isn't a app to take a picture of your own phone :)

This is the first wireless charger ive tried and i love it. Its so simple & fast. It even has a fan on it(so i was told)but it makes no sound. Either way, i love it. Uou dont even have to remove your case for it to charge. So nice to not have wires everywhere . It also comes with its own wall charger and cord with a size "C" plug.Samsung got it right with this one!

I really like the Wireless Charging Convertible Stand except I have an Otter box case on my Samsung s8+ and when I try to charge in the stand position it will not charge! It has to be lying down. So if you have a case, (like an Otter box) then it may not charge using it like a stand.

Love this charger for my S8+ ! It is so nice to just set my phone down on it and walk away without having to fumble with plugging a cord in. When I'm watching a video with my phone I put the charger in the up position and turn my phone sideways (landscape mode) and can watch and fast charge at the same time. It also works for my wife's S7 Edge but her phone doesn't have the adaptive WIRELESS fast charge so it is more effective for her to get the fast charge with a cord charger.

It charges your phone.
You put it on it and it charges. How cool is that!?!? Just make sure that you put it in the right spot... Or you will wake up to a dead phone. Also make sure your phone case has no metal in it. I have a magnetic car mount and I have to take my case off or else the metal plate stops the phone from charging. Other than that it is great. I like to watch videos from it because it has 2 settings and one props up the phone.

If your like me and stuck at a desk most of the day it’s most common to just lay your phone down. I however was always running into the issue of phone dying later in the evening. I bought this and instantly my charging woes were gone. Best of all I own both an s9 and an iPhone X and it’s compatible with both!

What can I say - looks and works great - as advertised, no issues...except one: there are similar products for 1/2 the price that work equally as well and look nearly as cool (pending your taste for faux leather).

Samsung charging pad is a fast charge one and can stand up or lay flat. I use it in the flat position with a Samsung Galaxy S8+ and it works really well.

In today's society phones have become an extension of ourselves and its commonplace to be on your phone multiple hours throughout the day. With the advancement in technology and the proliferation of phablets like the Samsung Note 8, these mini computers and their big, bright screens utilize increasing amounts of battery draining power to operate, requiring daily charging to avoid being stuck with a paper weight. While USB cords can be bought for a few bucks and are a dependable way to charge your phone my last phone was the victim of a damaged charging port due to being loosened by the repeated motion of insertion/removal. This is where this simple, attractive and unobtrusive device comes into play. You place your phone centered on the charging pad and it immediately begins to charge at the rate of most fast chargers. If you want to watch a movie while charging the base can be manipulated to charge in an upright position. Either way the phone is easily accessible to answer when a call comes in or to grab and go as you head out the door. With the cost of phones today it doesn't make sense to be tethered to a cord and I think the look of the device, its fast charging capability and the convenience it affords makes it well worth the purchase price.

This product works perfectly. I hated plugging up my Note 4 because of the tabs on the otterbox. Now that I have the Note 8, I never open up any of the tabs on the otter box case. No more wasting time plugging and unplugging. No more worrying about the phone staying plugged up over night and heating up. It automatically stops charging while I sleep.

First and foremost the bright blue light concern. I read numerous reviews indicating that the blue light that come on when charging was so bright that people had difficulty sleeping in a dark room and even others talking about being able to make shadow puppets on the wall. The light is simply not as bright as indicated. Also, if you slide the back down to the flat position, when you place your phone on it to charge, the bottom of your phone will cover the light even more.
I have a new iPhone X, it is on the smaller side when you compare to the Samsung phone, so those larger or rather longer phones when placed flat will cover the light even more.
With regard to the quality and design, this wireless charger is made well. The materials look high grade, the top itself with the leather look and grain are especially nice.
The movement of the unit from the reclined back to a flat position is smooth and yet does not feel flimsy as you change from one position to the other.
The USB C cable is in fact on the shorter side as many other reviews mentioned. If your outlet is close by, you’ll be fine, if not, I might recommend in advance to purchase a longer cable to be prepared to get as far as needed to your outlet.
Now, the actual performance of the charger itself is just short of the spec. This unit indicates that it can charge a dead phone up to 50% in 30 minutes. I have tried this five different ways. With my wireless charging friendly case on and off and using the Samsung power plug and directly to my outlet USB 2.5 watt charger without the Samsung power plug and last, just using a plugged in lightning cable. With and without the case made no difference. With the Samsung power plug it charged the phone from 1% to 39% in 30 minutes. Without the Samsung power plug and plugged directly into the USB outlet it charged from 1% to 46% in 30 minutes. The lightning cable charged from 1% to 34% in 30 minutes.
Overall this says a lot how wireless charging is a very viable option today. I would personally rather not plug a cable into my phone anymore if it is no longer needed. I never got the 50% in 30 minutes no matter what I tried, but I can live with it. I would prefer that the manufacturing specs meet a realistic number. For now they fall short.
Obviously, this isn’t a comparison of others in this same category but for the Samsung unit, it is definitely a good unit and perhaps I might get the RavPower down the road for an office charger to compare given that it was the only other contender that I considered.

This charger is an upgrade from the previous generation of Samsung wireless chargers. It has a sleek design, and the ability to use with the phone laying down or standing. It charges my Note8 fast and does not disconnect as the previous model often did.
The only negative is that it was a bit expensive, however, I do plan on purchasing a second unit for work.

I really like this charger. It is both a stand and a flat charger. It's perfect for use while working or as an "alarm clock" on the bed side table. Charges quickly and the phone does not seem to get hot like it might with some of the other wireless chargers.

Having just gotten both a Samsung Note 8 and an iPhone X, I invested in 3 separate types of wireless chargers by Samsung. Most of these chargers appear to charge the Samsung Note 8 well and fairly fast. The iPhone X doesn’t have Fast Charging at least not yet. I do not know how reliable the sliding and popping up mechanism on this charger is going to be but I’ve only had it in lay flat mode. My only concern is that the not-completely-flat surface has caused my iPhone X to slide off this several times. The Note 8 is much heavier and has several protuberances on its back so I’ve not seen it slide off. It does come with a fast charging AC adaptor.
