Works as an okay phone

No special bells and whistles compared to all the newer Samsung phones. Camera is good - I don't use them much so if it takes a picture and works then it's okay. Sound system is okay. Does not have the newer audio codex compatible with the newer headphones, but works just fine for me.

I got it based on several tech reviewers calling it a great phone at this price - but most of all for the Android updates for years to come. Unfortunately the phone feels awkward in my hand, kind of off balance. I could get used to it, so that isn't a reason to return a very good phone - but the real reason is, this phone seems built to harvest and your personal activity like no other phone I've seen up to now. I've putting in effort to turn off permissions, and figure out where to write to opt out of personal info being sold - it's a lot of work and I am not sure I'm up to the task of opting out of all the data harvesting for every thing on the phone. It's a shame and maybe I will end up encountering the same issue with the next phone maker I try. Anyway, this is the first time I've ever not really liked a new phone, and that is for a variety of manufacturers over the years. The good news is, I got this from Best Buy's "Open Box - Excellent "category, and it was excellent. Charging time is super fast, as were the software updates. Maybe someone else will feel it is the perfect phone for them.

Get a Different Model

The power button is "in" the side of the phone, and the volume down button is "on" the side of the phone. It is difficult to take screenshots because you press these buttons at the same time. The phone is too wide to fit in many spaces.

If pressing the Side Button and the Volume Down Button at the same time feels too awkward to you, try using your palm to capture your screenshot. You can capture an image of the screen by swiping the edge of your hand across it, from side to side, keeping in contact with the screen. To do this, first go to your Settings and tap Advanced features. Then choose Motions and Gestures. Finally choose Palm Swipe to Capture before enabling this feature.
