Durable and strong. Bought it as a gift for my cousin and he was so happy . This is the second time I m purchasing this phone. First was the silver color.

This has been a great phone since the day of purchase. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a good inexpensive phone.

I asked for a recommendation for a phone to replace my Samsung A16, was directed to the Samsung A17. After purchase I had problems with the phone keeping connected to my Galaxy 7 watch. It would have to be reconnected at lease 10 times a day. Searched for a solution could not find one. The A17 also overheats and shuts down while playing music, or running a maps program. I went back to Best Buy and asked about my problems, and the same salesman that sold me the phone now tells me the A17 is only made for talking, not to run a watch or run applications. I ask if I can return the phone to get a better phone more suitable for me and I am 8 days past the 15 day return date. I am now with a un useable phone. My last Best Buy purchase. Best Buy is not customer friendly. Clearly a senior citizen taken advantage of.

Had to replace an old android. I don't need a fancy phone and this phone fit the bill. It is simple enough for a non-tech person to figure out but still able to load apps you need.

After sim installation and setup, it works great. Very pleased.

I purchased this unblocked phone for my mom overseas, and all she had to do was install the Sim card from her local provider, and in just a few minutes she had it set-up. Now video calls are more clear, less interuption, and the phone works perfectly. She says it's easy to use, the camera quality is wonderful, and the battery lasts a long time. Great price too. It's great to have a fairly inexpensive phone that works the way it's supposed to. I've bought 4 or 5 smart phones through Amazon, and they were all either defective or had glitches that made them hard to use. This one actually does phone stuff.

Bought for my kids to use a mini tablet. Working great so far.

I purchased this A17 in late January 2026 after my A53 bit the dust. As I am not a gamer and no longer use my phone for business, I thought an A17 would be adequate. An A17 with 6gb of memory might have been fine, but the 4gb proved to be insufficient. All my apps ran, but the most annoying issue was the constant screen lag when loading news articles and when back swipping. The 4 gig of ram just was not enough to provide a smooth response, even when running RamPlus. Getting used to the fingerprint scanner mounted under the power button was a bit of a hassle, but I have to admit that once I got used to it I liked it a lot. Fast forward to today. I replaced the A17 with an A54. The A54 has better specs and 50% more ram and I experiene zero lag. I have to admit that I miss the power button location of the finger print scanner on the A17, which made it easier and faster to open the A17, but one I get the A54 open, I like it a lot better than the A17. Bottom line is you get what you pay for.

This is a great phone, especially for my teenage boy. Its inexpensive and does what a phone needs to do. Has a great camera and a good system.
