I wanted to hold off until the S26 comes out, so I picked up the Galaxy A36 as a temporary “bridge phone.” I’ve had it for about five months now, and honestly, it’s been rough. The phone constantly struggles to connect to both mobile data and Wi-Fi — sometimes it just drops service out of nowhere. It’s laggy when opening or switching between apps, and the fingerprint sensor is a complete gamble; half the time it doesn’t recognize any of my fingers at all. The camera quality is also way worse than I expected — grainy, slow to focus, and generally disappointing photos. I get that I went from a flagship to a base-model phone, but for something that costs around $400, these issues shouldn’t be this bad. At this point, I’m just hoping it holds together for another seven months until I can finally upgrade to the S26. If you’re reading reviews, take the five-star ones with a grain of salt — a lot of them are from people who’ve only had the phone for a week or two. Give it a few months and the issues really start to show.

It did take almost 90 minutes to transfer her "stuff" to the new phone AND we were told that the phone was capable of charging wirelessly- which it is not. That was kind of a big miss

It does some ai like circle to search and translate but I didn't like cameras as well as the 9a pixel and also the plastic frame . It has 120 hertz and does most things ok just I find better value for 100 more herti.g the pixel 9a that has more features an better ai and cameras and build quality
