I've gone through a bunch of wireless earbuds, probably too many. My favorite earbuds were the Galaxy Buds but Samsung didn't release an iOS app for the times when I used them on my iPhone and not my Note. They were OK but would lose my EQ preferences when switching to my iPhone and I'm not a fan of neutral sound profiles. The battery life of the original Buds was also just OK. Better than AirPods (and still better than AirPods) but the case could recharge them only 1.2 times over. I was recharging their case 2-3 times a week. I eventually moved on to some different brands but I picked these up after finding out that Samsung released an iOS app. These feel the same as the original Buds. They're light and comfortable, one of the most comfortable set of earbuds I have worn. More importantly: they stay in my ears. AirPods, AirPods Pro, the Sony WF-100XM3, PowerBeats Pro, and many other never stayed in my ears. They would always pop out of my ear canals and often fall off my ears. These don't. I could wear the previous Buds all day and I can wear these ones just as long. The controls remain the same and they're just as responsive. I do miss the swipe controls from the Icon-X earbuds but these are still fine. Audio quality is a bit improved (for me) over the previous model. There's slightly more bass, even on the neutral profile, and I prefer having that warmer sound. I still set the EQ to dynamic and they sound similar to the previous Buds with the same EQ. If you liked the dynamic profile of the Buds, you'll enjoy the sound quality of the Buds+. The 2-driver setup helps push the bass a bit more. Sound isolation is really good. I have a pair of wireless earbuds with ANC and I really don't notice a difference between those and these. They seem to block out the same amount of noise and, once I have audio playing, everything is pretty much drowned out. I haven't used them on a flight yet but I have used them in public and they did a good job blocking out street noises. Office chatter, and general office noise, is easily covered up with these. Samsung did improvement the ambient sound mode. The experimental high mode enhances my hearing to the point where I can pick things out from far away. I have my Buds+ setup so that holding the right earbud activates my phone's assistant and holding the left activates ambient listening (or disables ambient listening). It's a quick and easy way for me to have a conversation with someone without having to take my earbuds out. Battery life has also been drastically improved. They're rated for 11 hours and you'll get anywhere between 10.75-12.5 depending on volume levels and what you do with them. The charging case recharges them once more. That may not seem like a lot, especially when AirPods are recharged 5X by their case, but the Buds+ last longer. You're looking at about 22 hours of total use with the Buds+ which is on par with the ~24 hours from standard AirPods. They have a quick charge feature where 15 minutes of charging gets you almost 2 hours of playback. The case is the same size as the previous Buds (small and portable) and features USB-C and Qi charging. It's nice that Samsung, again, included extra features without pushing the price up to $199. These do pair to two devices at once but it only really works with Bluetooth 5 devices. I've tried switching back and forth between my Note 10+ and work-issued notebook (Bluetooth 4.1) and it doesn't work. I have to go into my notebook's Bluetooth settings and manually select the earbuds each time. However, they remain connected to both my iPhone 11 Pro Max and Note 10+ without issues. Samsung made another solid set of truly wireless earbuds. They work seamlessly with Android smartphones and iPhones. They support the SBC, AAC, and Samsung Scalable audio codecs so you'll get the best option for iPhones and Galaxy phones. Pairing to my Note 10+ was just as easy as the old model but it was a few seconds faster. Pair to my iPhone wasn't an issue either. These are about $20 more than the first Buds, $30-$40 if the 1st gen. Buds are on sale. It's well worth the investment as these last about twice as long per charge, you get 22 hours of total use (instead of 12-13 hours), audio quality has improved a bit, these are better options for iPhone users now that there is a companion app (I'm not sure why it has low scores on the App Store but it's been fine for me), and both call quality and ambient listening have been improved. These are now my daily drivers replacing a $300 pair of wireless earbuds that I used to carry around (MW 07 Plus). I highly recommend these for people who want to pay regular AirPods (or even AirPods with wireless charging case) prices but want more features and better sound quality.
