Not bad
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Not a bad product. I used it for nearly 2 years until one side stopped working. For those 2 years, I used them almost everyday. Definitely got the value out of it.

Seriously Good, But the Devil's in the Details
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. And so, after too much deliberation and teeth-gnashing, I went ahead last week and purchased Samsung's Galaxy Buds. (Hey, I own a Galaxy S9, so there's that.) Looked over the specs of a lot of other True Wireless numbers, and the Buds seemed to hold their own, spec-wise. So I'm here to tell you this: for the tl;dr crowd, Yes, they're worth buying, particularly if you're rocking a late-model Samsung phone/phablet (at least from the 7-series forward). The long-form review here is a bit more complicated. For me, the main shortcoming with nearly all in-ear 'phones is that last bit of interface 'twixt the 'phones and your ears: the eartips. Most OEM-provided eartips positively bite, which means that most people will be lucky just to have the things stay in their ears, never mind the sound quality when listening to music. And since various examples of well-known entries into this market can run upward of $300+, this isn't something of mere casual interest to, say, the music-lover on a tight financial leash. Online review sites like CNET aren't interested in reviews where they can say "well, sound-wise, these true-wireless 'phones truly suck UNLESS you blow $$$ on aftermarket eartips, blah blah blah." At least these 'phones have flexible interface options, unlike their one leading competitor. Suffice to say, none of the supplied ear tips did the trick for me. This isn't a knock just on Samsung: I've had this issue with at least half the in-ear 'phones I've bought over the years (and which explains the burgeoning business of third-party ear tips). I decided to rummage around for whatever ear tips I had around, and found some foam tips from J-Lab, plus a large pair of silicone ear tips of an unknown brand. In tech case, the change in sound quality and noise isolation was dramatic: they took the Galaxy Buds from "okay" to being on-par with the very best BT in-ears I've listened to or owned. The Upshot: don't immediately judge the Galaxy Buds (or any other in-ear 'phone) by what you get straight out of the box: if the ear tips provided do the job for you, fine, but if they don't, you're likely not getting the best you *can* get from those buds, and for very little extra cash you can have something surprisingly better than you thought. You could argue that you shouldn't *have* to go this extra quarter-mile to get the Good Stuff, but sometimes it makes all the difference. That said, I highly recommend these.

Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm surprised by a few aspect of these buds. First of all, they will not pair successfully unless the case is open. Also I have noticed that sometimes the left airpod will not couple unless the right airpod is also turned on. This is annoying for those of us who like to wear one earbud but not the other. The earbuds only going to pairing mode if the case is open. This is annoying because other earbuds let you couple without having the case open and you can just press the earbud itself. However these are not sensitive to that sort of activation and require the case itself to be open to initiate the pairing sequence. Also I have noticed that these are not work with my laptops. They only worked my Samsung smartphone. Which is annoying for those of us who want to use these with something other than our Samsung smartphones. Finally I've noticed an annoying buzz in these while I'm talking on the phone. So if you are planning to use these for phone calls., Think again. They are very good for music , amazing brilliency and high fidelity.

Size doesn't determine value.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have the white buds. They deliver excellent sound quality for something so small. I was surprised. The speakers are so small yet so loud and has an App to tweak the sound so that you can turn up things like bass and tremble. The touch surface controls offer everything you need to get to that track or tv show you're seeking. Ambient Mode is very useful for an environment where you need to hear what's going on around you.

Good but not great.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Decided to get these when my Airpods broke. While using them around the house was great using them on my walks outdoors is a disappointment. If you live in warm climates there is an issue with the earbud and Samsung has not addressed it. It has to do with sunlight directly on them causing the sensor to think they are overheating and then they start an annoying beep in your ear only when listening to music or podcasts. Really upset about this as it has tons of forums talking about this issue and Samsung has failed to provide a fix for it. So if you workout indoors this is great but if you want to use these for a stroll in the neighborhood, or outdoor yard work forget about it.

Posted .Hello Txsinger, we apologize for any inconveniences this experience may have caused. Your Samsung earbuds will constantly beep as a safety measure to alert you that they need to cool down. If you're wearing the earbuds when they feel hot the touch or start beeping, immediately remove them from your ears. Do not place the earbuds in the charging case or use them again until the earbuds have cool down completely. ^Elizabeth

Fit nicely but audio is so so
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. For fun, we compared them to the Jaybird Run and iPods. Well, they on their own are decent ear buds but are they worth the money. If they were in the mid 50 buck range, definitely. For the over 100 range, not really. Audio is about average with no real selling point. The built in eq on the app works but does not let you tweak each frequency. You only have a few presets that kind of work but not dramatically. Treble is average but bass is really missing. If you want the bass mode, you will lose treble and higher frequencies, rendering a muddy sound. Use the treble mode and you lose some bass. But, they are clean and sound clear enough. The ambient sound feature seemed not to work. Maybe just needs more tweaking but we could not tell any difference. Bottom line: Ok but too costly for what you get. Not recommended.

Perfect with Galaxy Phones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Sounds redundant but they go well with the Galaxy S10 lol. I highly recommend you go into advanced sound settings and create a custom sound profile and turn on Dolby Atmos. Headphones stay in place and sound good. Felt a bit funny until I changed the ear tips.

About $50 too much for what you get!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Tried them for several days. Went through all the tips trying to find the best use. Comfort wise they are awesome. I wore them for 8 hours straight and towards the end I could barely feel any fatigue and that is stretching it a bit. They fit great in the ear and stay secure. But... that was using the middle tip. Using the larger tip obviously gave the best sound which was very good imo but the passive noise cancellation got to be a problem. I am field tech and need to be aware of my surroundings. Tried using ambient mode but it was mediocre at best. More of a hiss than anything not to mention the outside sound getting in even with this mode on was still very low. Also found wearing the larger tips did induce fatigue pretty quickly for me anyways. But the 2 biggest drawbacks for me were horrible call quality which was the primary reason I wanted them and returned them. The other is no multipoint. How is that even a thing in 2019? My $45 Motorola bluetooth headset sounded better (for calls), isolated my voice better while on calls and had multipoint. I know, apples to oranges, but I think Samsung really settled for a base hit here instead of a homerun. I know phone calls are not the focus of these buds but that is no excuse for the quality. The mic placement is horrible. The Samsung Level-U's I owned previously had the exact same call quality issues which was caused by very poor mic placement. But even they had multipoint capability. Went back to the Elite65T and will definitely be checking out the 75T's when they make it to market. Such a shame in the end. This was the final straw for me. I will soon be leaving the Samsung environment behind. The last 3 years starting with the note 7 fiasco which I was a part of, the last few Samsung headsets I have owned and now a relaunched, almost better $2k phone has me convinced Samsung is just riding the name and hoping people keep buying the name > the products they offer.

Great fit, low volume
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This would be such a great product. They fit great and stick during my workouts. The button scheme works great too, but... The volume sucks, even going thru google to find a fix. Did all the options including the developer options and pulling the metal dust cap out( which now I can not return but I was desperate) the volume is terrible. I get more punch and loudness from a 5 dollar pair of earbuds from the gas station.

Gym Rat Approved
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I never thought I was picky with headphones before. As long as I have sound coming out while I strength train and / or run, I was good. Then I decided to give these a try. FINALLY I have noise cancelling ear buds. I tried another brand of ear buds and anytime I hit the buttons to control them, they shoved further into my ears. These are not heavy. The controls are literally "just touch". There's no pushing involved. They are sweat proof as I live in Alabama and it's summer here. The battery life is okay. I can get a good 2 - 2 1/2 hour workout in at the gym and they stay charged. I have to recharge the whole case every 3 - 4 days. It takes 2ish hours to recharge the whole case.

Great wireless Headphones
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got these for free from being a pre-order for my galaxy S10+. Despite getting these for free, I was a bit skeptical due that they were made by AKG. They make the headphones that usually come with the phone. But Samsung and AKG really surprised me with this. Works well with my Samsung S10+. Love the Galaxy Wearable app. Like the carrying case/ charging case.

Frequent software updates and charging issues. Ew.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had them for a month and decided to take them back after two problems with these became very apparent. First, they need to update. Welcome to 2019 where even your EARBUDS need frequent software updates. These things have updated weekly since I got them, this is unacceptable for what's supposed to be a very convenient pair of headphones. I just want to listen to my music yet I'm totally locked from my earbuds until they get their software update, that's just stupid. Second is that my right earbud decided not to charge. Multiple times. There's no apparent damage to any of the parts, this problem came out of nowhere. I tried to setting them in the case so they would start charging and finally got it work after multiple attempts. Too late for me though, if these are going to do that once then they'll do it more. This just isn't acceptable for a product designed for convenience. Adding to the inconvenience is that you have to remember to recase them every time you take your bud out or you'll definitely lose it. That's far more inconvenient than just having them wired on the back of your neck. These don't even sound that good, the only reason you're buying these at all is for the gimmick. It does feel cool having no wires, but it's not worth the price of admission at all, especially when it's even less convenient than the lower tech corded sets you can buy for far cheaper. Oh, also, the case is super slippery and will slide out of your pocket many times if you don't put a silicone case on the case. They set you up to lose these right from the start.
