Last years model preformed better in my opinion. It does have great sound quality and the button and volume control feature is cool

Newer Samsung Galaxy earbuds include Active noise canceling! When this feature is turned on, it will block out noise in the nearby area, so you can be fully immersed in your music. If you ever need to be aware of your surroundings, simply turn off Active noise canceling.
