The new Samsung buds are a disappointing step down from the previous model. The fit is exceptionally poor, and the battery life is inadequate. Furthermore, they seem to run warm, and the ambient sound setting significantly degrades the audio quality. There are even times when the ambient setting malfunctions completely, forcing me to disable it entirely.

Hey there GAlarco1, thank you for sharing your sentiments with us about your experience using the Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro. We value your candor as we improve the functionality and performance of our product line. Samsung offers a 12-month warranty for manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship. It's important to wear your earbuds properly for many reasons. You'll get better sound quality from them, they'll fit more comfortably, and they'll stay in your ears. Wearing them improperly can cause discomfort, sound leaks, and makes them more likely to fall out. As you know, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro come with different sized ear tips. The first thing you want to do is make sure they have the right size tips for your ears. You want them to fit so that there isn't a gap between your ear and the ear tip. This helps to avoid sound leaks and ensure optimal audio. Once you have the right tips on your buds: 1. Check the bottom of the earbuds for directional marks. You will see an L and an R. 2. Insert the R bud into your right ear with the R facing you. 3. Insert the L bud into your left ear with the L facing you. 4. Angle the blade slightly so that the microphone on the bottom is pointing towards your mouth rather than straight down. 5. You can adjust the buds by rotating them forwards and backwards until the fit feels right. You can also run an earbud fit test in the Galaxy Wearable app to ensure you have the proper fit. To run an Earbud fit test, 1. Open the Galaxy Wearable app on your connected phone. 2. From the Buds3 Pro screen, tap Sound quality and effects. 3. Tap Earbud fit test. 4. The screen will display either In ear or Not in ear. Make sure both buds are in your ears, and then tap Start. 5. The buds will chime for a few seconds, and then the app will display your results. It may say Poor fit or Good fit. If the fit is poor, make small adjustments and then tap Try again. 6. Continue running the fit test and making adjustments until you get a good fit result for both buds. If you would like more information regarding fit, feel free to check out "How to wear your Samsung Galaxy Buds3 and 3 Pro." While all of Samsung's earbuds are built to last the entire day, the buds' battery life and charging times may differ depending on the model you have and how you use them. The Buds3 Pro provide up to 26 hours of play time per charge, which can be extended to up to 30 hours with a fully charged case. Also feel free to check out, "All about your Samsung earbuds’ battery life," "Keep your Galaxy device at its normal operating temperature," and "No, low, or poor audio quality on Samsung earbuds" to help resolve what you've described to be experiencing. These new Galaxy Buds3 Pro are my favorite earbuds now. These are defintely flagship quality earbuds. I chose the silver ones and they match both my zfold and my tab s9 color really well. I love the overall look, as they do resemble the ones from the fruit brand with the stems. After a week of listening with them and watching entertainment, these are definetly some of the best i have ever used. The active noise cancelling and transparency modes are great, especially the adaptive quality. Samsung did a great job with this as it utiljzed both internal and external sounds around you and enhances the sound and anc quality through the adaptive EQ. These have a 10mm dynamic driver with a separate tweeter that provides clear sounding highs. This has been an amzing experience as music and dialogue do not sound too tinny. The stems, or blades, are confortable as they match the. Atrual angles of my ears. Pinching activates the play/pause, while the swiping up/down the blade adjauts sound volumes. Long pinches changes the anc to transparency modes. When taking them out of the case, the blade sides have a light that runs the length and the sharp edges make them look very futuristic. The case has a transparency lid which is a nice touch. Voice calls have been clear and precise. Those on the other side of the call has stated that the background noise has been reduced and my voice is clear. The three microphones in each of the buds pick up my voice well. The EQ on the app is a,so bery helpful for your desired listening experience. The Buds3 Pros have an IP57 rating so they are water resistant. Battery life has been exceptional, at 6 hours with the noise cancelling off. Charging case allows wireless charging which is a plus if you don't have the usb-c cord. The downside of this is they are meant solely for the Samsung ecosystem. They pair easily with my Z Fold6 and my Tab S9, but does not pair with my other Android non-Samsung tablet. It did pair with my wife's fruit phone but the experience is not as rich and immersive.

These earbuds might not aim to be the most eye-catching or feature-rich, but they truly shine in the fundamentals. The sound quality is rich and balanced, the noise cancellation is effective without being overly intrusive, and the design is both comfortable and stylish. Highlights: Sound Quality: These earbuds offer a warm, detailed sound that’s perfect for everything from podcasts to pop music. The bass is punchy yet controlled, the mids are clear and natural, and the highs are crisp without being harsh. Noise Cancellation: The active noise cancellation (ANC) effectively blocks out distractions without creating that uncomfortable “vacuum” feeling. You can still hear faint ambient sounds, but it’s enough to let you focus on your music or work. Comfort: The Buds 3 Pro are lightweight and ergonomic, staying secure even during workouts. I wore them for hours without any discomfort. Battery Life: You get a solid 5-6 hours of playback with ANC on, and the charging case provides an additional 15-18 hours. Areas for Improvement: Touch Controls: The touch-sensitive controls can be a bit tricky at times. It takes some practice to get used to them, and I occasionally triggered the wrong command. Call Quality: While the call quality is decent, it’s not the best I’ve experienced. My voice sounded a bit muffled to the other person in noisy environments. Conclusion: The Samsung Galaxy Buds 3 Pro are a well-rounded pair of earbuds that offer a premium listening experience without the premium price tag. They’re not perfect, but they excel in the areas that matter most: sound quality, noise cancellation, and comfort. If you’re looking for a reliable and enjoyable pair of earbuds for everyday use, the Buds 3 Pro are worth considering

Jack of all Trades Samsung Buds3 Pro can do it all

Overview ================================= Samsung is no stranger to trying new things, so after a few years of pretty "normal" looking buds, they decided to do something different for their newest flagship true wireless earbuds, the Galaxy Buds3 Pro. Samsung was pretty creative with its "bean-shaped" Galaxy Buds Live and I'm glad to see them taking some design risks with these new stemmed and angled earbuds. Initial Setup ================================= Love 'em or hate 'em, they do get your attention. First of all, the case has a transparent lid (clear on the white ones, smoked on the silver) so you can make sure your Buds are charging safely. The entire case isn't clear like the ones from "Nothing", but it is a nice touch. I'd prefer a different choice of plastic instead of a smooth, glossy finish, but I suppose the transparent part had to be made of that. I would have preferred a denser plastic so I wouldn't have to worry about scratches. Of course you can charge it via the included cable or with a wireless charging pad. Note that some protective cases can make it a bit difficult to charge wireless, though your mileage may vary. Lastly, there's a dedicated button on the case to pair with other BT devices that you can't fully control, like a gym's elliptical machine. Though similar to Apple's AirPods Pro, the added stems are actually angled for a less organic and more "tech-forward" look. Not only that, those extra surfaces serve a purpose outside of aesthetics. Each stem also houses a small light which is useful for pairing mode, but they also look pretty cool, illuminating a narrow strip down each stem. Each stem is touch-sensitive as you'd expect, with a very intuitive volume control by sliding up and down the back side of the stem. A single pinch controls play/pause, a double/triple pinches will control track forward/back. If you hold down while pinching, you can cycle through sound modes like ANC, Ambient sound, and Transparency). After getting used to the system, I was glad that it "just worked" since touch controls aren't always the most responsive and a delayed tap or pinch can really throw things into disarray. Often, I end up disabling touch controls for ones that are too sensitive or too delayed. I think Samsung got the flat surfaces correct since their touch controls work fine with either stem. Of course, you can customize them as well. Samsung includes multiple ear tips so you can get the right size and there was even quite a "to do" when some of the early models seemed to have some issues with the tips tearing while being changed out. After a brief delay from Samsung, shipments resumed and I haven't heard much of the issue since. I'm glad to report that the installed tips worked great for me, but I did test swap to the large tips and had no issues going back and forth, so it looks like that problem was solved! Make sure you're getting a good seal so you can get the best listening experience. The Galaxy Wear app can help make sure you have a good seal/fit and help you customize your experience. Specs-wise, I was really excited to try these because Samsung went with an interesting dual-driver design. They paired a 10.5mm dynamic driver with a 6.1 planar magnetic driver. I'm familiar with planars from my large over-the-ear headphones (Audeze) and I was very curious to hear how a small planar would perform. Planar drivers are prized for their ability to provide high-quality, low-distortion sound compared to your standard dynamic drivers. As you can imagine, pairing these was a non-issue. I have the following devices that I tested with: Google Pixel 8 Pro, Samsung S23 Ultra, and Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra. Everything paired quickly and easily with the two Samsung devices, as expected, providing the most seamless switching between devices. I was used to this with my older Galaxy Buds+ and the ease of use is still perfect with these Galaxy Buds3 Pro. They are rated at IP57 which means they're dust and splash-resistant, so they should hold up in a gym, but heavy sweaters may need to look for dedicated active buds. If you don't already have the Galaxy Wear app installed, it'd be time to do it now. Performance ================================= First of all, I'm personally not a fan of buds with stems, but these function perfectly and they actually help get them fitted into your ears properly. Also, they didn't stick out nor swivel around like I've seen with some other companies' stemmed earbuds. The silver finish is different from all of my black earbuds and I liked how they looked - with or without the lights! For stat and codec snobs, you'll be both delighted and disappointed. Yes, Samsung's SSC Codec supports high-res audio, but it's limited to Samsung Galaxy devices! Unfortunately there's no AptX nor LDAC which is a pretty big letdown for non-Samsung owners. I definitely would have preferred that they included at least AptX and still reserved their high-res SSC for Samsung devices. ANC or Active Noise Cancellation is great on these modern flagships. I think you could nitpick and say that Sony or Bose's newest models have slightly better ANC, but I don't think there's a clear winner here, nor do I care about splitting hairs on ANC performance. Fans, air filters and a white noise generator (for sleep) were no match for Samsung's ANC. I would definitely rank these Buds3 Pros near the top of the heap for ANC wireless earbuds in 2024. Onto the fun part - the sound quality. When I'm listening to music for fun (shouldn't that be all the time?), I like a warm, maybe bass-forward sound without losing too much detail. Bass and even some sub bass came through clearly without distortion while mid bass and vocals sounded rich and clear. At the top end, treble was clear and sparkly without being sibilant nor harsh. I listen to a mix of music from 80s to EDM to early 2000s trance to Jpop/J-ballads, Kpop/K-ballads, American power ballads/rock and more. Typically I'll switch between IEMs and headphones to get the best experience, but if I had to choose one set of IEMs, these would not be a bad choice at all. Even on a non-Samsung device using AAC, sound was full, rich, and enjoyable even with ANC on. I wasn't (nor will I ever) trying to listen extremely critically but I did compare these to some of my favorite wired and wireless IEMs and these Buds3 Pro are amazingly flexible, regardless of what you're listening to. Since these aren't just for listening, I tested these on phone calls, Google Meet calls, and some test recordings inside and outside the home. I'm very impressed by the sound quality overall and I had to tone down my usual "headset speaking volume" since things were picking up just fine even while walking around outside. A breezy day or talking in front of a fan allowed for some noise to sneak in, but I suspect these will be fine for most anyone's calls. If you enjoy listening to them with ANC on, be prepared to lose some hours of battery life! Rated at about 7 hours between charges, ANC will cut into that by an hour. Most other flagships that the Buds3 Pro are competing with can last a bit longer with ANC on so make sure you have a charger or charging pad ready! Other features ================================= Game Mode can be enabled in the app to avoid the lag or latency that can cost you a win or a loss while gaming. Usually you don't want to play "twitchy" games nor rhythm/dance games over BT, but with Game Mode enabled, I did just that. Since you won't really miss the reduced range while gaming (on your phone at arm's length or less), I'd say it's a worth option. Ambient Sound Mode works as expected without a ton of hiss like some "non-flagship" earbuds. It's supposed to focus on the human voice's frequency range to pick up conversations which it seems to do (along with other sounds like the hum of a refrigerator nearby). If you turn on the "Auto switch to ambient sound", the Buds3 Pro will use Voice Detect and Siren Detect to automatically switch modes. If it hears your voice, it will allow more ambient sound in so you can have a conversation. When that ends, it will turn ANC back on. It can also detect sirens, though I haven't been able to test that. Adaptive sound is supposed to switch automatically between the modes, turning on ANC when you're in a noisy environment and allowing some Ambient Sound in when you're in a quieter environment. I've never been a fan of these automatic recognition and switching (experienced on some other major manufacturer's buds) since they aren't quite accurate enough. Voice controls aren't a feature I thought I'd like, but it was pretty useful in my home office so I could control my music by just saying things like "pause music", "volume up", etc. This was nice, though lazy, if I didn't want to interrupt my typing groove! Conclusion ================================= I haven't had a chance to try out any of Samsung's Pro-line of wireless earbuds and perhaps I'm lucky I had a chance to test these. It seems Samsung really learned a lot in their previous generations (and perhaps from a competitor or two...) and they came out with an attractive new design, great ANC, awesome and flexible sound quality (thanks to their dual-drivers), and a seamless experience for Android users, specifically Samsung users. As a Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra and S23 Ultra owner, these really are now my go-to earbuds for music, movies and calls. Great sound quality no matter what you throw at it along with strong ANC and a neat new design? What more could you ask for? Samsung Galaxy Buds3 Pro - an easy 5/5 in my book!

Whether I’m listening to music, podcasts, or taking calls, the audio experience is top-notch. This is a review based from a simple user's standpoint. I have not purchased many top-of-the-line earbuds, so keep that in mind from a true technical standpoint. In my opinion, so far so good. They do well pairing with my Samsung S24 Ultra. Getting the hang of the controls took a bit for me to remember (not used to pinching versus tapping). I have small ear holes and these stay in so much better than the Buds2 Pro ever did, which was an enormous perk for me for daily use. The ear pad cushions are a whole connector piece versus just the pad itself, which would likely make it more difficult to replace that size if ever damaged or make any color customization. My husband loves the light-up feature, whereas I prefer it to stay off. The noise cancelation and music clarity are amazing for me. No problems with phone calls. The con is that occasionally when inserting them in my ear or the case it makes a brief screech (like bad feedback on a microphone). I don't know if there's something I'm doing to cause it, or it is just a flaw. I haven't truly test the complete battery life, but I haven't had to charge the case but once since the first charge out of the box. I still very much enjoy them and they are significantly better than the buds2 pro. Overall I consider it a win and recommend purchasing them.

I would recommend this to a friend
