Let me qualify myself as a beginner smart phone user. In February we started out with Droid Mini's, but the battery life was poor, lasting only a day or less at best. Looking for a replacement, I saw that Best Buy offered the Samsung J3V for $1.00 a month on the device payment plan! That basically makes this a $24 phone! At that price, it is a remarkable value and is truly a deal at full price of $199! Its easy to use and call quality is excellent, as is my ability to hear others who call me. Bluetooth was easy to connect to my car and the phone stays connected. My Droid often failed to connect. Despite the camera being only 5mp, the phone has a flash and the pictures look great. Phone also has a flashlight feature so you don't have to download one from the Play Store. What I am thrilled with on this phone is the remarkable battery life. My first charge I got thru two full days of use on one charge, I turn off the phone at night but used the phone and learned what it had on it, customized my settings, etc. The second charge lasted me three full days (over 48 hours of light use) on a charge. My third and most recent charge lasted me two full days, but I still got over 30 hours of use on this current charge and I'm still at 18% with an estimated usage time of 7 hours remaining. I am pleased to get through one day of use without having to charge this phone, let alone two or even three days of use! Amazing! Lastly, love having the ability to replace the battery down the road should the original battery fail to hold a charge, and having the ability to expand the phone memory with a micro SD card is a great benefit! I ended up buying a total of three of these phones to replace other phones I had on my plan and the recipients love them! You will too!

This phone has never worked properly and inspite of being under warranty and having taken it in, it has never been fixed and now that the warranty is past, it stopped working again.

I wish i had never bought this phone. not able to transfer data from old phone to this one.

It does stuff according to its duties bringing forth service of some type for better this and that.

This is a great low cost phone for the Samsung fan. Does (almost) everything its big brother does (almost) as well. Need a great smart phone but don't need all the bells and whistles? This is the phone for you.

Had this phone less than a month with a rugged case and glass screen protector. Today it slid off the seat, into the floorboard, hitting nothing but carpet. The backlight cracked around the edge, now it has a black screen. Even though I had insurance, Verizon said they couldn't ship it off for repairs. Now I'm out $200.
