Best phone my wife has owned! She's very happy with it.

At the time of purchase it was to upgrade older phones. However, it has since been replaced by a newer model. The phone was ok, but it had it's own quirks with cellular network connectivity - it didn't like to stay on 4g networks, wifi connectivity - sometimes just wouldn't connect to a remembered network and blue tooth compatibility. Great starter phone if all you are doing is really making/receiving calls or texts or using it as a device to play music or games on.

Since the purchased plan was not set up correctly at Best Buy, an extremely long call to TracFone support was necessary. I hope no one that purchases this phone has to call their support. It took 3 people to get the phone working properly again. Nightmare. The phone set up at Best Buy was a very long process also. The salesperson had been kept up by the storm the night before and was sooooo tired. Far less than professional service.

I am getting used to it. I would like better and friendlier instructions. I am not able to edit calendar settings, or I don't know how. Hopefully, time will help with my insecurities.

First Tracfone purchase, a loyal Samsung customer, but overall the phone is average but it performs as needed.

I dislike the texting app tremendously. The colors are terrible, the font is too small, and nothing is adjustable. I wanted to add that the notifications are hit and miss. Sometimes I get the notification badge for text messages, and sometimes I don't. I NEVER get one for voice mail. It puts the voicemail symbol up in the left corner, very very tiny, but I will NOT put a notification badge on the "phone" icon. I need to know at a glance if I have messages and this is not working for me. My Core Prime always put a notification badge with the number of messages right on the phone icon. They also took out the notification light, and they have also made the font so small in my previous favorite weather widget that now it's hard to read. I think a 20-something person set this phone up for teenagers, because adults who want to receive messages reliably and read texts in a larger, darker font will be disappointed. Who thought white letters in an awkward-blue bubble was a good idea? It's crazy. Samsung has spent too much time focusing on screen size and internet usage and has dropped the ball on the communication aspect of the phone. I'll give it the weekend, and if I still hate it by Monday I will port my number back to my reliable Core Prime from 2015 and hope it still works after the December technology change-over. There is no point in buying a $300 phone, or a $700 phone, or anything more than this little $50 phone, because from what I've read online every new phone is having these same issues of message notification unreliability, missing notification light, and the inability to customize font and color settings in messages. And don't tell me to use the "vision impaired" setting. It does not help. They also took the gridlines out of the calendar. The more "advanced" the phones get the fewer user-friendly features they have. If you just want to surf the net and text in small font with white letters, it's fine.

I considered it average, one day when I called my friends phone got a busy signal but she was not using the phone.

It is an okay smart phone. Set up time took much longer than expected. I recommend and iPhone over this phone.
