The device performs well but the ability to receive and send calls in large buildings is poor.

This is the best phone on the market!

I upgraded from the Samsung Galaxy S III. The S III is an awesome phone and the only reason I upgraded to this phone was the screen size and the S-pen option. I was concerned that this phone was to big but after setting it and playing with it for an hour, I am used to it and could not go back to a smaller screen. This phone is not as wide as the original Note and you can actually text one handed plus it has a setting where if you are left or right handed to switch the keyboard closer from left side or the right side. The stock keyboard is better too but I believe that is because it has Jellybean out of the box. The processor is quick and fluid. The battery life is excellent.! The build quality of the phone is superior and it does not feel like it is made out of plastic and it is light in your hand. I would recommend this phone it is worth $300 and if you can't swing that then go with the Samsung Galaxy S III. Both of them are superior over any iPhone.

Best productivity device I've ever owned

I'm going to try to keep this short - this phone is amazing. I'm a real estate agent and I've never been able to keep up with emails and voice messages like I have with this device. The size of the screen makes it incredibly easy to use. With a few apps, I'm able to create professional quality PDFs on my phone (using the camera), have clients sign contracts and documents with the S-pen, read my voice messages; take notes on the s-notes apps using the s-pen, sync my work documents to my phone via drop box, edit Excel and Word documents; track time with my clients with the click of one button (for billing), give voice commands for calling while I'm driving, etc. etc. etc. I love the dual antenna because I have the wireless hotspot on my plan, and it allows my to use the internet on my laptop AND talk on the phone at the same time. As far as the size of the phone - I'm 6'2", so this thing fits perfectly in my hand and I carry it in my pocket like any other phone I've owned. I usually put it in the seat next to me when I drive because it's just too big to get out of my pocket if someone calls, though. I assume a blue tooth headset would help. My only complaint is that the volume is not that great while I'm on the phone (again, probably solved with a blue tooth ear piece). It's not terrible, but it's not great either. The speaker-phone option is actually good, but I rarely use it. This small annoyance is so far outweighed by the benefits, its not even funny. The battery life is great. It gets me all the way through the day without having to plug in and that's with very heavy usage - I've been an Android user for years and I've never had a phone that will do that. (Leaving the hot spot on for a while will drain it fast, though!). The s-pen makes Swype texting 10 times more accurate and so much faster. I can now send and receive group chats from iPhone users (none of my other android phones could). I couldn't recommend this phone more highly. I've had it for about two weeks and it's literally changed the way I'm doing business. And yes, that is the short version of my review ;)

I have had this phone for 3 days now and I cant seem to put it down. I know that it is not a good length of time to do a proper review but this phone is so great I wanted to write it while it is fresh in my mind. This phone was an upgrade as my old phone was the HTC EVO 4 G. Although that was a great phone 2 years ago the NOTE II is light years ahead of it. Lets first start with battery life. I text, go on youtube, and the internet constantly during the day. My old Evo would usually be done in about six hours or so. I also upgraded my Evo with a 2000mah battery which helped it alittle but does not compare to the NOTE II. I took the phone off the battery charger at 8am and it is 9:30 pm and it is still show 60% battery life which is incredible. Another thing I noticed is the richness of the color of the screen. I have the phone at about 10% brightness and it has great detail and color while indoors or out. The quad core processor is very fast as well. I dont have 4G LTE in the area only 3G and 4G. The 3G on the NOTE is just as fast as the 4G on my old EVO. If you have had a android phone you should be able to adapt pretty quickly to basic functions as Samsung uses a operating system called Touch Wiz. It is very fluid and works quite nicely. Last but not least the NOTE II has the S-pen. For someone who didnt have the old NOTE this is new territory for almost everyone. It is defintely going to be a learning curve as I found out it is not as easy to write on things as they show in the commercial but I am kind of a electronics geek so I will have a good time trying to figure it out. I know most people are afraid of the size but you get used to it in a few hours and realize you cant go to anything smaller. The phone is suprisingly light as well for its size. I was tossing between the Galaxy S3 and the Iphone 5 which are good devices but sprung for the NOTE II and havent looked back.

I absolutely love the Galaxy Note. The large screen size makes watching YouTube videos and surfing the web enjoyable. Call quality and sound is good. Something I just found...if you push the little round green button on the screen when you're on a call, it boosts volume even more over the maximum level. You may have problems sending photos via text when you get the phone. You'll need to go into the settings and change the size because it's set at large and they won't go through. Once this is accomplished, sending photos is a breeze. The camera takes great photos and the fact that the unit takes a memory card allows you to snap away without worrying about running out of storage space. There are many different styles and colors of cases for the Galaxy Note and I like that also. The stylus works great. Internet is fast. I don't have anything negative to say. Some people may get tired of carrying around such a big phone, so know what you're getting into when you buy it. The benefit of a larger screen for outweighs the negative of toting it around in my opinion.

I have wanted a Note since the first Model came out. This phone is gorgeous! Every time I would see one, I would just melt. I LOVE my phone so much! It's big which makes watching Videos, Reading, and other things so much easier. I don't know if I could revert back to a smaller phone size. I use my phone heavily, so I LOVE the battery life on this thing. I only need to charge it at the end of the day. It's wicked fast and the 4G LTE is excellent! The split screen is sooo awesome! I watch a lot of movies or listen to music a lot on Youtube. I love being able to do that and browse facebook or text at the same time. Calling, Texting, Picture taking, Volume, Sound, are all WONDERFUL on this phone. I have experienced no problems whatsoever! &The pictures come out wonderfully! This phone is everything I had hoped for and more! I just beyond love it!!!(:

Supurb Camera, Powerful O.S., Vivid Display

This is my first Galaxy Note 2. I have gone through 4 other Galaxy S2's. First one stolen, got a 2nd one for $50 after adding a 3rd line for $30 a month. 2nd one shorted out (think I got it wet#, had insurance then, and sent me a refurbished for $100 deductible. THAT one lasted 5 days when the charging jack went out. Sent it back, got another refurbished S2 witch is the one I traded in on for the Note 2. #They gave me $75 for my S2). This phone is GNARLY! The O.S. is fast, Video and picture quality is Supurb and has awesome features for customizing pics and video. Transfering my apps from google play was a breeze with the "My Apps" icon to transfer everything over from my old S2. My wife has the S3, and we download the "bump" app. This app gives you the option of sharing/ transferring your Photo's, Videos, Email, Texts, Music, Apps, etc to one another simply by "bumping" the phones together. The build quality is good, but I recommend buying a case to protect the phone as it, along with all other Galaxy series of phones are extremely slippery in your hands. Like a bar of soap! Im a huge Samsung phone guy and think that Apple has some catching up to do to the Koreans!

Yes, this is a very big phone. But after a week of using it, i could never go back to a "normal" sized phone. Would highly advise getting a case for it. The sides and back of the phone are very slippery in hand. Would have liked to have seen Samsung use some higher quality materials, but it is what it is. Camera is OK, still a bit of shutter lag, but a vast impovment over my previous phone (HTC Evo Shift). Movies and video look awsome, speaker sounds pretty good (for a cell phone). S-Pen is "neat", comes in handy when browsing the web. Every app I have downloaded runs flawlessly (including the annoying pop-up ads). Texting takes some getting used to, dont really care for how the screen looks in landscape mode. All in all, great phone. Do yourself a favor; stop reading reveiws and take the plunge, go get one!

Replaced HTC Evo 4G (1st gen/WiMax)....NO comparison. MUCH faster than the old Evo, faster and better video and camera. It truly is a major step up in technology. The EVO 4G is not a bad phone, but the Note II is significantly better. Running on Sprint and we actually have some 4G areas here. Have seen 12 Mbps downloads! Also recommend the Platinum kickstand case for the Note II.

    Best Phone I've Ever Had

Just a great all around phone, the size is essentially the biggest pro AND con. First off, you really do get use to the size. And once you do you pretty much get the best phone that is available right now. The stylus comes in handy for drawing and for writing notes, but it's not the main reason why I got it. The screen is amazing. It takes good pictures and video. And here is something that happened for me. It made my netbook, which I used for surfing while on the couch, obsolete. Something I did not expect to happen.

This is an amazing phone. Very fast with a big, bright screen. If I can complain about anything so far (day 3 with the phone) is you cannot access the mp3 player from the lock screen. previous phone had that option. Other then that tiny detail, this phone is great. Everyone is jealous of my gigantic screen. Watching NetFlix at work has never been better! Also has an Incognito web browser feature. Never get caught up again

I switched from an iPhone 5 32gb to this AMAZING new Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and I could not be happier. This is by far and wide the best phone/tablet on the market. It takes about 10 minutes to get used to the size, but after that you can't imagine using a smaller phone. Best move I made in 2012.

I did six months of looking at smart phones to replace my Blackberry Tour (phone). Then a Best Buy employee suggested that he thought the new Note 2 would be perfect for me. I had to wait six more months for the "Note 2" to come to the USA. It was worth the wait! This phone is replacing my old PDA, Blackberry, and I do not need to buy a tablet now. It is an amazing little computer that fits my small hands perfectly. It is exactly the same width as my old Palm T5 but thinner, lighter, and taller giving it a much bigger screen. I use the Galaxy Note 2 User's Digest and the great Best Buy employees when I need help to fully use my "Note 2" This is more support then I have ever had with any other phone. I keep my shopping list, things to do that day and all those little "paper list" that use to over load my purse. I use the Flip case at home because it "cleans" the screen everytime you close it! I use the hard "Kickstand" case when I'm out of the house to protect and be able to "clip" the phone to my purse or belt. This is the best phone I have ever had.

I love this phone! Voice recognition works great. Handwriting to text conversion works great. Love that the stylus can do things in different programs/websites without even touching the screen (like scrolling and popping up menu's#. The precision that the stylus gives you over a finger is great! Battery life is great. I've been running it with all the options enabled to make sure #WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth# The icons on the home panel and other panels could be better. On my phone only 4 fit across the screen when 5 could #like on the Apps page) The phone is large. I'd recommend investing in a good bluetooth headset!

This phone is outstanding! I love all of the features. The only issue I have is that it's hard to hold onto when you are on the go. If you have a larger hand this shouldn't be an issue for you. I got the bigger screen size so that I could easily read without my glasses. For this it is perfect!

This phone performs everything exceptionally well, however if you plan to transfer any kind of media to it, you're going to be in for a headache. Allshare Play is probably the worst software I've ever used, and Kies Air is second worst. You have to find, in a hidden menu in settings, Kies regular to transfer media. They took away USB Mass Storage so don't even think about that. I recommend downloading a 3rd party application. Thank god I use Google Play for my music. I only needed to send a few videos which made the headache really not even worth it.

Pretty fast phone at running apps and multi-tasking I love that even if my phone is locked and I receive a call, All I have to do is, remove the S-pen and the note pad opens right up, for quick easy memos and notes. Overall this is one of the best phones I have had.
