The screen does not look above 720p HD. The fingerprint reader is very slow compared to the Note 8. The processor is supposed to be faster but runs slow out of the box. I recommend you skip the Note 20 series completely and wait for something cheaper and truly better. Wonder what Samsung was thinking when they moved all buttons to the right and the pen to the left. Way to mess up a great thing Samsung.

I've had nothing but problems with it since I've bought it. Bad reception, weak battery life, drops calls constantly. So bad they have reset it twice, put a new sim card in it, sent me a new phone, and even added a Verizon tower to my house. Could be the provider but I've had them in this house for years and never had this problem until now.

This phone doesn't have technical support. I accidentally cracked the side and they can't repair it and it has been over a week. Geek Squad or Samsung are hopeless. No support at all!!!

    Saying goodbye to Samsung

THE GOOD: Display - very good color, very crisp. S-Pen - so many uses. Can't imagine ever having a phone without one. Size - Large screen. Seems just right. Camera - Takes great outdoor pictures. The zoom is incredible. I never thought I'd see a phone with this kind of zoom. Most features of the new camera are better than the Note 8. Storage - Slot for sd card. Charging - Fast charging. Also love the wireless charger. Battery Life - Incredible! THE BAD: Bixby - Don't want it. Don't need it. Can't delete it??? Samsung Free - Don't want it. Don't need it. Can't delete it??? Brightness Adjustment Message - Almost every time the screen brightness is increased a message pops up that says, "Using high brightness for long periods increases battery consumption". Really? Who knew? Do I need to see it every time I adjust it? How about one message with a disclaimer. Audio Volume Adjustment Message - Again, Samsung feels it is necessary to display a message every time the volume is set to max. How about one message and a disclaimer where we agree that we understand the risks. Camera: It is better than the Note 8 except for capturing documents or pictures of documents on a computer screen. Overall I like the hardware. I have owned a Note 5 and 8. It got better each time. However I will probably move to Apple when its time for a new phone. The constant pop up messages are just too annoying. That and the fact that they force Samsung Free and Bixby on us. Has anyone read the user agreement for Samsung Free? Its not good.

    Note-Taking Never Felt So Good.

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

Let me start with this - If you're looking at this phone when it's not at *least* a good several hundred dollars off with or without a device trade-in, consider some other devices out there. Samsung's 2019 flagship devices are still fantastic with top-of-the-line specs. The Galaxy S20 FE comes in at a waaay cheaper price point, AND it has that beautiful 120Hz refresh rate that has made the boatload of scrolling I do feel buttery smooth. I bought this phone when I could get it for around $500 off (with trade-in) with all of these deals happening. Anywho, the Note 20 Ultra - this thing is amazing for productivity. I find myself using the S Pen fairly often for taking notes in my classes. With this model, Samsung has dropped the S Pen's latency down to 9 ms (on par with the Apple Pencil), and b o y can I feel it. The combination of the negligible latency and the pencil-to-paper sound effect when writing in the Samsung Notes app have made my note-taking experience stupendous. Dare I say, I prefer it to paper! Additionally, I have tiny little baby hands. I came from an already large device (the Pixel 3XL), and this is even taller! Plus, there's even more screen real estate to worry about since I ditched that horrible giga-notch on the Pixel. That being said, I've had no problems using the Note 20 Ultra. If you've got the hands of a middle schooler and you're already used to doing some hand gymnastics (or using a device with both of your hands), you'll find this just fine to use. I do have a few notable qualms with this device. First - and least important - you probably won't use those S Pen air gestures. I don't think anyone has been fond of those, based on existing reviews. Second, it has been practically impossible to type without a case. The palm rejection on the edges still isn't quite perfect; I found myself closing the keyboard and tapping random things on the edge of the screen when I tried to type without a case. Spigen has an excellent thin case (the Core Armor) that doesn't add too much bulk to this already-large device. Finally, ((( w h y ))) can't we have that wonderful 120Hz refresh rate AND get the full 1440p resolution? The OnePlus 8 Pro does it at a cheaper price! That being said, 120Hz with 1080p is still beautiful for scrolling and media consumption. Overall, this premium device is exactly that - premium. It definitely isn't worth paying full retail price. However, it's excellent for everything I use it for, from jotting down detailed class notes and grading exams, to binge-watching videos and avoiding my responsibilities. Sick phone, Samsung.

It lasted me 5 years until i was hospitalized for a week. There was something wrong with the outlet my room was in and the phone went crazy. Since that day, it doesnt charge anymore. I unfortunately cannot afford a new phone at all... so i guess this is the last thing i write here.
