I have a Note3 in MINT condition and owned it since the first day it came out. I was debating if i should take it out of service and get the NOTE5. Well because of all this good looking deal, I've finally had the guts to do so. I came home last night with a black 64GB Note5 and really surprised how much i'am so so so satisfied with my purchased. This machine is so beautiful with its display, fast and a lot of setting you can do. Pen is a big improvement from the 3, camera is something that any other phablet cannot match at this time and the kicker is, it came with a free microsoft words and excel. Cant go wrong with all this goodie.

I feel like i was totally screrwed by Best Buy as they sold me this phone a week and a half before the galaxy note 7 came out. This phone is by far the worst phone I have ever had. It turns on and off on is own, the voice app turns on on its own. The screen flickers while gaming. Just a terrible transaction. Will never buy another phone at best buy again, as they would not allow me to upgrade as suggested (without waiting 3 weeks without a phone), and would not return item.

    Note 5

I am partial to Samsung Smartphones dating back to the Epic. From the Epic, I purchased the S4, then Note3, and recently the Note5. Definitely much faster and some user improvements including split screen, more features with the pen, and nicer looking phone. The only reason I have never purchased an Iphone for personal use is because of my inability to purchase additional batteries and increase memory card. I was extremely hesitant to buy a Note5 because the body is sealed like the Iphone now. I bought it because of my experience with Samsung phones. I was told by a Samsung demonstration person at Best Buy that the battery has a long shelf life, even for heavy users like me. I have had the phone now less than a week and I am extremely disappointed in the battery life. I am able to get about 5 hours before hitting the critical 20% remaining warning. For me and my previous experience, I am very disappointed. I am debating doing a return and just purchase the 6S Plus instead, given the cost and less than average battery life..

coming from iPhone 6 plus, i tried the iPhone 6s plus also but wasn't impressed, so i gave the note 5 a tried after 5 years of owning iPhones , can't believe the freedom this phone gives you compare to apple, the s pen is actually more useful than i thought, the split screen, ability to customize the screen, also the easy to drag n drop videos ,music, pictures, and my subscription to google music makes me forget about iTunes, being able to connect my go pro w/ micro usb cable and saving my videos , don't see my self going back to apple..

upgraded to the Note 5 and I will say this is by far the best they have done in operating systems for devices. the device is smooth and so many little extra features that work for the SAMSUNGs good. I havent seen the device be sluggish and this one has some good features. I would say if you have the Note 4 to wait for the one after the 5.. the differences are not that much where you will need to upgrade. I like it though. I will say that. the battery issue isnt that big a deal after all. I do miss the SD card but everything I needed to download wasnt an issue with the Smart switch APP.

The phone is great so far...

As the title states, so far the phone has worked out great for me. I purchased it several months ago (December 5th, 2015) at a great discount (Total purchase price was around $270 because I purchased a phone cover with kickstand as well as a Best Buy 2-year protection plan, but I also received a $150 gift card for purchasing the phone which they applied to the purchase, so the price came out to around $121 after all was said & done.). Having the total price lowered help, but I've had very few issues with the phones functions anyway. The phone has slowed down some, but when loads of Apps are installed onto the device I think that is to be expected. The phone's screen size & clarity is awesome. My signal quality is generally not too bad, either, although I do live close to a "city" without tall buildings, so that may help. All & all, my experience with the phone has been great & I would recommend it to others.

I replaced my Samsung Galaxy S3 with the Note 5. It was time. Bigger and better screen and processor. Transferring apps with Smart Switch was EASY. It does come with a lot of apps preloaded that I don't use but I'm still happy with it.

I've had this phone since the beginning of the year. I had a Galaxy Note 3 before this one. It's notably faster than the Note 3 on the apps I use. The fast charge is a great convenience for when you need to refresh your battery. Battery life is about common for similar phones. Looks great. Feels great. Only complaint is that Samsung removed the miniSD slot on the Note 5. 64G is plenty of memory, but I enjoyed the option of expanding the memory on my Note 3. Overall, I have really been enjoying my new phone.

Nice phone. Light weight. Large screen - easy to read. Shows finger prints and can be slippery, but large size is a plus. Be sure to get a good easy grip protective case. The speaker feature could be louder. Its hard to hear when I am driving in the car even without the radio on and the windows up. Love the fact that I can click on a a picture in a text message to view it, and then, swipe the screen from left to right to scroll through all of the pictures that were sent in text by that person.

Constant issues, yet still mostly great

I have had several issues and have even had to send the phone to Samsung to get it fixed. Other than all that has happened when it is working right, it is the best phone I have ever had. If all the bugs and issues get resolved I will be more than satisfied and would change my rating to five stars. But, if I keep having additional problems happen I will be switching phones. I have friends with this same exact phone, carrier, and plan that have not had any issues at all and they have had their phone longer than me. I am thinking I bought a lemon and wish Best Buy or Samsung would literally take my phone and trade it for the same exact one, so I can stop having issues and just enjoy the phone I paid for.

I upgraded from the Note3 and the Note5 just doesn't compare with the features of the Note3. It seems like it was rushed out and left out some of the things that I really liked on the Note3.
