This is a great phone would have given 5 stars if it had the ir sensor

Great phone! Upgraded from Galaxy S6 Edge. The Note 8 is perfect.

Got this phone I was super excited about it but once I got home and started doing all my transfer and figuring it out it just wasn’t for me I returned it 2 days later I just couldn’t deal with the system I’ve been a iPhone user for 8 year and i went with the iPhone X instead

This phone is specified to be water resistant . I had it out in the rain using GPS for directions. Well that's not the case b/c every time I charge my phone It says moisture has been detected. How annoying!

I can't transfer any of my iPhone contacts wirelessly like I was told and the phone is useless for itunes it won't play them. If you're an iPhone user it maybe hard. Also the auto spell check is a pain in the duck

The last Note I had was the Note 2 (which I loved). I eventually went back to iPhone and stayed there for many years and through many generations. I put up with getting standard features years after Android phones excusing the practice by thinking they were perfecting the features before release. Some of you may remember that the original iPhone couldn't send pictures through text. Anyway, I still have an iPhone 7 Plus which was a great phone. Apple products are top notch in quality. I was entrenched in their ecosystem with iMessage and iTunes, etc. But I run multiple businesses and this is where comparisons between the iPhone X and Samsung Note 8 are pretty ignorant. For the average consumer, you compare OS, camera, speed tests, drop tests and those are all important but for someone like me, I need to know what one phone can do that the other cannot. This is where I don't find a lot of reviews or comparisons. The Note 8 blows every iteration of iPhone out of the water in this department. From various ways to unlock your device to compartmentalization of secret files and apps to changing out the keyboard for the one that best fits you and includes features you use to ease of use with documents... The list is so long that the Samsung Note 8 makes the iPhone look like a basic phone. And it kind of is. There are so many limitations to Apple's OS and capabilities. Just signing a document and forwarding that out is a huge hassle on an iPhone. Sometimes, I had to run to a computer to do the task. But this is a Phablet... I shouldn't need the computer. And after having this phone for several months, I have actually not used my laptop for much. The integration with Google's apps has made my laptop only relevant for Photoshop and ... That's pretty much it now. I can do everything on my Samsung Note 8. Wireless charging is great, having a headset jack is awesome, the extra RAM for true multitasking is a necessity. Was it hard to get off iMessage? Not as hard as I thought it would be. I actually use Facebook Messenger now for most communication as it's fun on the Note 8 with the chat heads feature. The only people upset I switched are looking at green chat bubbles on their iPhone. I don't care. My phone does way more than yours and the camera on this phone isn't recycled like it is on the iPhone 8 and X. Samsung constantly pushes for more capabilities and it's evident in this device. I knew I made the right choice within a few hours of setting it up. And it's one of the only devices I've ever had that I was still finding new features that make using the device easier after several months of ownership. :)

Phone is way to big, impossible to bend over with phone in pocket and worst of all is the fingerprint scanner location. Should of went with s8 will be last time I listen to best buy employee.

My favorite phone of all time until it falls out of a pocket and shatters. Im talking front, back and sides. Now its just something makes me wonder why they cant be durable.

Works great, but has major flaws. Screen sensitivity is poor, and won't detect finger with added glass protector. Not very durable either....don't drop it or it will break.

First, I've been a devout iPhone user since the first Apple iPhone was released. I've had maybe seven different versions. I was going to hold out for the iPhone X but looking at the iPhone X reviews compared to the Note 8, I just wasn't sold. The Note 8 just looked so much better to me but I was afraid of trying anything but an iPhone. I decided to give the Note 8 a try and if I didn't like it, I'd return it at least I'd know. It did take me about a day to really get use to it, figuring all the things I needed to setup immediately. Nothing like standing in a Starbucks line to realize you forgot to download the app to your new phone. I'm not a techy so I can't really offer a lot of feedback in terms of performance. All I can say is I'm glad I got the Note 8. I think Apple missed the boat this year.

I used to be a big android fan. I have to say now, though, that thI iPhone has become more useful than the Samsung. Traded it in for the iPhone X.

So disappointed this is the second galaxy 8 I’ve had in less than 14 days - this phone has no battery life. Think I will go back to my droid.
